I think there was also a thing about some love potion or something. after all you never see it in the books.*shrugs*

Is it established in the books that it is Roose himself? As far as I remember Cat just sees a man in a pink cape. I always thought that would just mean a Bolton man, not necessarily himself.

When he says "Jaime Lannister sends his regards" that's pretty much like taking off his helmet and shouting "It'sa me, Roose!"

That might have something to do with why Lady Stoneheart wants Brienne to fetch her Jaime so badly. Mayhaps she took that as a literal truth..

Turn on annotations. I fucking love this show and all dem hints.
Lol, so much overanalyzing in this video. Of course they make it look like she is a spy with the letter writing etc. They are actually quite obvious about it, so obvious that it might be a red herring. But a lot of the stuff the author of this video "finds" is just silly. She knows the Crag has a maester, she knows her marrying vows. Yawn. Apart from the fact that most of this can be explained otherwise, a TV show would not care about such tiny details.
I thought from the beginning it was pretty obvious they want you to think she's a spy, but it's really hard to say if the "clues" here are really clues or just oversights. She could have learned Westrosi traditions off screen. She could have been awkward around Robb's mom just because it's an awkward situation. She also is not the only character from Essos who doesn't have a non-british accent, Varys, Illyrio Mopatis, and Thoros have british accents.
I kind of do think she will turn out to be a spy, and if she does I'm disappointed that they didn't make the character try harder to seem like she was really from Volantis. Would a spy really just not even try to pretend to have a Volanteen accent, or just keep accidentally forgetting she's not supposed to know Westrosi customs? Or write secret letters right out in the open for the entire army to see?
I don't think she is a spy. At least not the show version. I agree it would be a terrible idea to write letters to Tywin with Robb right next to her, even if it's in a foreign language (he could find someone to translate them - even out of curiosity - too much risk for Talisa). Besides, her acting and good concern for others seems to be very genuine. I would say I'm 80% sure she is not a spy, so there is still some possibility (although that would be quite far fetched in terms of how the Lannisters planned the whole seduction and marriage part in advance - there was simply no guarantee that Robb would fall for her).

While I guess it's not explicitly stated, like many things in the novels it is heavily, heavily implied that it was Roose himself who stabbed Robb.
I only caught it on my second read through. Kinda blew my mind, and made the red wedding a little bit worse all at the same time, haha.

Is it mentioned anywhere in the books that he himself travels to the wedding? He is not supposed to be there, right?
As I recall he was at the wedding. He excused himself before all of the killing started.
Found it, "Roose Bolton murmured some words too soft to hear and went off in search of a privy." p. 697 from ASoS, this is about three pages before Robb is shot by the first arrow.
Aaah ok, that makes a lot more sense then. Yeah that makes it pretty obvious that it is he himself who finishes Robb. I remembered it differently, that Bolton himself stayed behind at Harrenhall / Riverrun during the wedding.
By the way, what are the odds, assuming she doesn't just get killed off at the Red Wedding in the show that Talisa/Jeyne's pregnancy was a little spoiler for book readers?
I seem to recall that they left the question of Jeyne being pregnant open ended in the book, but I could be wrong.

jeyne was never pregnant b/c her mother fed her moon tea.

Is there any evidence to this in the books? I red them twice and never knew that.

I think her mother tells Jaime that she was feeding Jeyne moon tea.

I think it is mentioned in one the Jaime chapters.

There are theories that she may have been pregnant.
It is commonly known that G.R.R. Martin planned this series as trilogy, and it feels that way when you read the books. After 3rd the series should be closing.
As it is now Song of Ice and Fire saga is nothing more than written soap opera. There is no point, plots are going nowhere, you can feel this forced extending of the story.
I rate first 3 books 9/10 The rest 3/10
Also let's not kid ourselves. G.R.R. Martin is old, obese and he doesn't life a healthy life, also he has a lot of side projects which consume all of his working time. How long we had to wait between part 4 and 5? 10 years? Dude is now at 62, I doubt we will ever see the ending of the series, unfortunately.

I agree that if Talisa survives RW, it'll be a book spoiler.

Don't worry bro, it's been said numerous times that the writers/creators of the show are privy to GRRM's intended ending for the series. So they'll wrap up the show without guidelines should anything happen to GRRM leaving the books unfinished.

I mean, on tv we might find out that coldhands is Benjen Stark! That would be some kind of reverse spoiler from the show :3
I don't think we will see Coldhands face. They don't ever say Bran saw it in the book, and Bran would recognize his uncle I'm sure. Also, relating to Talisa/Jeyne's pregnancy and murder - I don't think it would give away anything about her being a spy? It is quite heavily implied in the series and the books, but she doesn't die in the books so why would she in the series? Also, what was the point of changing her name in the series, does anyone know offhand?
