And I guess even readers aren't quite sure yet, and if Martin kills Theon off I'll change my opinion.
You would think after 3 seasons, they would know in a show where literally everything has a purpose that someone being tortured mercilessly episode after episode has a purpose.
I wish a mod would add, "if anything in the show really bothers you and you really want to critique the story, quit ya whining and read the damn books already!" to the mod note . So many strong opinions from folks who would be so much better served reading lol.
Also, I'm kind of peeved Arya hasn't, you know, killed anyone yet. They completely skipped the guard killing scene.
That whole notion of having blood on her hands, her saying the rain will wash them clean, and her accepting her fate was/is crucial to her character development and one of my favorite lines in the series. I can't really blame in a way people calling her super emo for calling her God the God of Death despite all that's happened to her with such crucial plot points just outright withheld. It's not even me wanting a fanservice or anything -- I honestly think Arya needs to kill SOMEONE before her training begins in the show to solidify her fate to show viewers.
But maybe that's just me freaking out over nothing

Turn on annotations. I fucking love this show and all dem hints.
If that were true (and it just might be), then the whole thing about her being pregnant is a lie, right?

She did kill the stable boy in the show tho.
Touche I forgot about that
But nonetheless, that's so far back and I still think the guard scene was important because not so much the killing, but the line afterward and her accepting her fate. I just don't think the stable boy killing holds as much weight character progression wise as the scene I'm describing is all.

I agree with you. It's emphasised much more heavily in the books and is certainly missing from the series.

Lol, so much overanalyzing in this video. Of course they make it look like she is a spy with the letter writing etc. They are actually quite obvious about it, so obvious that it might be a red herring. But a lot of the stuff the author of this video "finds" is just silly. She knows the Crag has a maester, she knows her marrying vows. Yawn. Apart from the fact that most of this can be explained otherwise, a TV show would not care about such tiny details.

I am not sure which guard killing scene you refer to. But I remeber the scene when Arya killed regular armored soldiers when she was with the Nights Watch as one of the most stupid in the book. She was 9 or 10 when she did that, and all she had was a glorified needle. If they had filmed that (although she is older on TV), it would have just looked ridiculous.

In the books, she kills the guards on the way out of Harrenhall. In the show, Jaqen kills them and leaves the bodies there.

Oh yeah that one. Also stupid. :D
She kills one guard with pretty much a sword by catching him while he was bending over to pick up her metal coin. How is that at all undoable? Especially with her dancing lessons and practicing.

I don't know why, a man climbing up a ladder over a battlement is pretty vulnerable, the height and strength advantage is negated.
Stick with them the pointy end works even if you're 9 or 10.
That honeypot video was #trippy. I think there was some thread on westeros.org discussing jeyne and conspiracies and such. so maybe there is something there
Isn't it implied/said outright that tywin corresponded with Jeynes mother about Jeyne and robb/red weddingor some such? Pretty sure she said something of those lines to Jamie. Keeping her from getting pregnant among other things
It was implied in the books that there was communication between Jeyne's parents and Tywin both before and after the red wedding. Since Talisa's parents are not in the show it makes sense that she would be corresponding with Tywin, and they have been laying it on thick with all the letter writing.

I thought from the beginning it was pretty obvious they want you to think she's a spy, but it's really hard to say if the "clues" here are really clues or just oversights. She could have learned Westrosi traditions off screen. She could have been awkward around Robb's mom just because it's an awkward situation. She also is not the only character from Essos who doesn't have a non-british accent, Varys, Illyrio Mopatis, and Thoros have british accents.
I kind of do think she will turn out to be a spy, and if she does I'm disappointed that they didn't make the character try harder to seem like she was really from Volantis. Would a spy really just not even try to pretend to have a Volanteen accent, or just keep accidentally forgetting she's not supposed to know Westrosi customs? Or write secret letters right out in the open for the entire army to see?
