I dislike how they are making Robb seem to be in a helpless situation not knowing what to do. In the books Robb had a clever sounding plan to assault moat cailin to take it back form the ironborn. TV Robb goes against his advisers to lose "half" of his army and puts all of his hopes for the war in the hands of Walder Frey. A bit of foreshadowing is good but everyone and their mother counting Robb as dead appears to be an attempt to soften the blow and i don't think it's necessary.

You can't ban anyone who makes a correct call (not impossible after all). But then after their 5th post you realize they are just spoiling the books. Do you ban them then? That would confirm it was all spoilers for everyone.
It really sucks, I just wish people weren't vain assholes

i mean i don't think they're gonna kill off robb stark. I know the show is hinting it, but for some reason, I really think they're just gonna split from the books here.

That would be too huge of a change I don't think it will happen.

The only possible reason why they would do that would be to troll readers. There's no reason why it would happen, and it would completelly change the whole story to the point where the book will have absolutelly nothing to do with the series. While they have to adapt a big part of the story, it has always been done to serve a similar purpose as the books, and interviews and such showed imply they will keep it that way.
There's just no reason for them to write completelly new material for the rest of the series, I really don't see this happening.

You could always PM them and tell them to cut the bullshit. Then again, they might just be getting lucky and you confirmed their spoilers =/

Last book was originally going to be called a time for wolves, if that's any indication of what's going to happen.

Really bad episode, you could tell this was the one where they had to cram in a lot of build up. Most scenes just ended up feeling out of place, rushed and disconnected.

If I remember correctly, Beinoff and Weiss said the scene they were excited about filming most was the red wedding. And one of the most inspiring reasons for doing the show was to create that scene in the medium of television. So I don't think they have any big changes in mind.
Also, it would completely fuck the story.

New theory: the reason D&D wanted to make the show and get to season 3 was to create their own story where Robb lives. The wedding will go as per the book up until the point where Robb is about to get stabbed. All of a sudden D.B. Weiss himself swings in on a chandelier, grabs Robb and carries him to safety. Then David Benioff jumps out of the rafters and delivers a fatal round house kick to Walder Frey.

It's gonna happen. Not killing him would change fundamental plot points in the story, and all evidence points to the fact that they're only changing fairly minor points and sticking to the primary story of the series.

Speaking of Lady Stoneheart, how come she's so vengeful/violent when revived in comparison to Berric when he was revived?
Edit: Oh guess there's no reason explanation to her ruthlessness. Watching TV Show Berric probably confused me.

Beric was revived almost immediately after death each time, largely preserving his personality. Catelyn was rotting in the water for over three days by the time Nymeria fished her out. Note that Thoros refused to revive her due to her condition.
The other explanation is that revival might fix your goal on whatever you were doing before you died. Beric was riding to save the small folk from Gregor Clegane; that gave him rather honorable intentions. Catelyn had just suffered the Red Wedding...

ahaha! But then GRRM charges on to the scene shouting "NO NO, he must die! it is integral to the world i am trying to create!" And he grabs Bolton's sword, chases after Weiss, and stabs Robb himself. "trust me" he says, "I'll give you a happy ending later, i swear". But he says it with a sly grin on his face

She is obviously a lot farther 'gone' than he ever was. To fall into some kinda silly terminology but it is the best thing that comes to mind: The debuff probably stacks based on time spent dead as well as, or instead of, times ressed. There probably in not much to her beyond her hatred for the people who she thinks wronged her.

Because cat had more build up and reason to be so. She thinks all her family is now killed off by Lannisters, Freys and Theon. Beric was just a lord on a king's mission who got ambushed. And it's not like Beric was a peace preaching septa there either.

This season has kept quite faithful to the book thus far. I am pleasantly surprised how faithful. I am wondering how they are going to fill out season four when it comes to brann, Jaime/brienne and danarys's stories. Seems like they may need to do some padding, but better to pad it than to cut it! 2 seasons for this 1 book was a brilliant decision.
Oh, and a little prediction when it comes to the fetuses in jars. Anyone else think that instead of using leaches for melisandre's curse, they'll burn the fetuses and curse balon, Joffrey and Robb? Anyone else with me on this?

Real talk: I know GRRM said he didn't get to do a cameo in season 3, but how awesome would it be if he did and he was the conductor of the orchestra at the red wedding.

I would love to see GRRM bake the frey pies.

i would totally love it when grrm gets his cameo as the lord of white harbor that frey pie would be so much more epic =D
