how so?
claymore has the same issue with the "known" world being a small part of a much larger one.
and togashi is lazy as fuck - i don't think there's an argument there.

lol the art is so bad >_<, oh well

"where will they go after the ant arc"
I think they just answered it. This manga is so good , I'm entranced by the openness of the world and the myriad of things that could happen. I hope it goes for another 4-5 arcs.

This is going the way of Battle Angel Alita. Well, that was pretty damn good I guess. I don't mind.

Well it's just that it's such a common theme that bringing up claymore is a little off. Just because the idea, and such a common and broad one at that, is the same doesnt mean the execution will be the same. Not to mention Togashi already did this before in YuYuHakusho with the demon world, and that was before Claymore.
That's like saying Greed Island was Togashi being lazy because he copied dot hack.

i wonder how long until Gon actually travels to that world
the ants are from it and the King and his guards were pretty much each stronger then the strongest Nen user so obviously the level of beings there are on a completely new level
combine that with Killuas side trip and i expect to see a timeskip

oh, i should have made the line break clearer. the lazy part had more to do with his art than the storyline. i don't think it's novel or anything, but it has potential.

id say if anything is getting ripped of here its Toriko
|
Is the author sick? I mean, comparing this and the previous chapters with the _very_first_ chapter the art is... so much worse :O
|
nah, he's just lazy as hell. i predict another hiatus soon here.

The only thing is that the manga started so long ago and there's little reason to believe that Togashi didn't intend to do this arc from the beginning, since the very start of Hunter x Hunter was more or less like this.

If the bugs are from the outside world, and the bug only became powerful through eating humans and were able to use nen from consuming nen users, that means the outside world must be pretty weak. They were never strong until they came inside, and a bug that evolves through eating should logically be the strongest thing that it has ever eaten up until then.

also every ant could use nen despite them not consuming nen using humans until later
also heres a question
whos to say the king we saw was significantly weaker then every other king in histtory?
|
I'm faaaaairly sure that whatever enemy will see won't be stronger than "post Nuke Meruem". At the very least, I really hope not because the power scaling would become totally screwed up. Meruem was already far too strong, and I'm pretty sure he alone could have wiped out humanity even with all the hunters ganging up on him.

Aye it should be, so most likely logically thinking the ant hadn't eaten anything more powerful than a human in the "new" world. Which means that they were just that - ants in the new world compared to the rest. Sure the king was stronger than the rest, but he was also the exception.

the ants in the other world are probably mroe stronger but no special nen abilities

I just don't see the ant in the other world being stronger. Also, even before the King ate the two royal guards he went up against the strongest human by far and crushed him without trying. And that was just with straight up brute force with no special ability involved. Nen is pretty much what makes anyone strong in HxH since it amplifies all your basic abilities.
|
Meruem indeed was the "god" character of that universe. But really , nen fights are all about how you use your abilities. There is no power level endless repetition like in DBZ , people die and they die quickly. I love this series precisely because everyone has a chance at killing anyone. Nen is unpredictable
