Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

The one thing that bothered me/didn't make a ton of sense was the priest. I get that he's been kind of always mopey and useless, but what was the purpose of going out to strangle that walker? What was the point of leaving the gate open? Like other people's craziness (rick, sasha, etc) make sense and they follow a consistence logic. The priest doesn't really seem to have any. Like even if he wanted Rick's crew gone, what was the purpose of leaving the gate open?
I don't understand anything that fool does anymore. He's had such divergent ideas towards the group and his own survival that nothing he says even makes sense in the context of his actions. His walking out to find a zombie and saying "I'm ready" seemed to indicate suicide, but then he had a last minute change of heart for no good reason. Leaving the gate open seemed unintentional, he was kind of in a daze (again, for no good reason). I hate this character even more than Lori's ghost.
Really? It seems rather obvious he doesn't think any of them deserve to live because of the things they've done to survive, but he's too afraid to actually kill himself. That's why he's so passive aggressive.
He was in a daze because he failed to kill himself. Again, if I'm not mistaken. He wants to live, but thinks he deserves to die, causing a strife within himself.
I mean, there's lots of things you can complain about with the show, but how the priest is acting isn't one of them.
maybe I need to watch again but didn't he like immediately walk up to the walker, throw a noose around it's neck and kind of rip its head off? it didn't strike me as suicidal as much as it was like some weird killing fetish. My point is that all his actions kind of don't seem to have any logic. Him telling Deanna seemed to indicate he wanted to kill Rick's crew or at least get rid of them, not kill himself. His bit with Sasha seemed to play into the suicidal coward bit but it was kind of all over the place, whereas the rest of the characters have their own consistent logic.
Noose was alrdy around the walkers neck, he just took advantage of it cause he was too afraid to go through with suicide.
He believes he deserves to die along with all the others for what they've done, killing other people, regardless of the reason. But he's too much of a coward to do it himself, therefore telling Sasha to do it. He's basically lost his faith and that last scene with them praying hopefully means he's gonna get his senses back.

Yeah I'd watch it again. It was a failed suicide attempt because he chickened out at the last second. Like taking a gun out of your mouth, then pointing it at someone else so they shoot you instead (his actions in town).

Also, 90min finale the teaser said? My video file is about 63min
#Commercials .... Kinda ridiculous no? I used to do the interactive live web thing with the show but watching the with commercials is just too painful.

Sounds about right. The typical 1 hour show without commercials is about 42 mins or so. An extra 20 mins for the 90 mins special is what I would expect.
It makes look like he was having sex with someone and they turned into a walker, which would only make sense if they were already dead...
Spin off series just seems like an attempt to tell the same stories with different characters with it being set shortly after the infection event. I'll at least give it a shot though.
