Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.
Well, that's two barely explored relationships destroyed in two episodes.
The whole scene with the piglets was just weird. Why didn't they lure the zombies away with some music, like they did in the last episode?
And while we're at it, the entire fence is on the verge of going down and they get just a handful of people to help out with this? Aren't there dozens of people in the prison that could've helped?
And you'd think people in a post-apocalyptic world would be more resourceful about their gasoline instead of using it to needlessly burn stuff. (And people, I guess. How the hell do you burn someone like that without anyone noticing, anyhow?)
Currently, it looks like D'Angelo is going to be the bad guy here. There was doubt about him in the first episode, and in this one they didn't even show him heroically fighting the zombies like everyone else. He'll probably be kept in the background for a few more episodes before he's suddenly revealed as the mysterious guy who did all the Bad Things.

Because of the other pig getting sick. They were going to have to kill the pigs anyway due to risk of infection.
Maybe Tyrese girlfriend fake her own death and IS THE KILLER!!!! Ohhhh snap, now that some M-night-shamalon shit right there. But seriously, wouldnt be out of the realm of possibility too because they confined her since she was sick thus she cant go out and kill. So the only way to kill was to fake her own death so she can roam freely. Or it the person she claim was also sick! Hmmm.....probably just thinking too much into this but it something to consider.
Edit: Also calling first dibs on this at the small possibility that I am right!

Well, yes, but Rick seemed utterly devastated by that. And due to the music, I had the feeling I was supposed to feel the same way. It was.. weird.

I agree. You're thinking too much.
I think it's the Governor and/or loyalist.
The Governor was hiding inside of the sick pig this whole time!
Let's all talk about Carol the Crazy Carl Creator. Did she not see the entire metamorphosis of Carl? His descension into sociopathy? Don't get me wrong, I totally understanding teaching kids where to stab a zombie. The knife classes are justifiable. But the scene with the father, who had recently just passed, where she is just like 'sure, take this knife, kill your zombie dad. ezpz.' I mean, the kids barely had time to cope with the fact that their father died, and she didn't even argue against the idea. I'm not sure if she KNEW that the girl would back out, but I assume she didn't, and (Carol) was ok with this. #BadParenting
To look at this in perspective, Carl killed Shane, and everything went downhill. Shane was just a friend of the family. When Carl killed his mother, he just went fucking crazy. And, because I'm a expert psychiatrist that's mastered the art of psychology with a PHD from the Academy of Internet, we all know women are much more volatile than Men. Those little, traumatized girls would've been crazy ass, sociopaths and all because Carol thinks she is God. She doesn't get to make these damn decisions! Dayumm girl, what you thinking? Really, with these girls in her care now, they will either become ruthless zombie war-goddesses, or Carl from last season.

The choice between life and bacon is indeed a devastating one.

I think the pig symbolizes Rick being able to be free from being the leader and being able to just be a simple farmer/dad. Since the group started functioning as a council rather then him being the leader. He also feel a big burden lifted because of this and everyone understand what he went through (when daryl was digging the grave, I think something like this was said). The sick pig mother foreshadows the coming of the "plague" into the group. The death of sacrificing the pig symbolizes that in the end of him playing farmer and the life he envision living peacefully with his son. Further stuff emphasizing this is when Rick went to the fence to start killing zombies and how it went slow-mo when he first killed a zombie probably to show that the "old" Rick is starting to come back. Burning of the pig pen and giving Carl back the gun basically shows that he is pretty much done playing farmer and realized that he will have to become who he was again and lead.

Thanks, that does make sense. Kind of.
Definitely beats my theory of Rick really, really liking cute little piglets.
I dunno, but you can see in the picture that his right leg is positioned somewhat unnaturally. The writers are actually pretty good at paying attention to minute, unimportant details, so I don't think that's something they would overlook.

Bitch.
Agreed. She is definitely taking it too far. They will probably justify it with the death of Sophia. She is probably thinking "If Sophia new these things she might be alive today."

Carol is right though. The kids need survival skills and sophia might be alive if she knew them too. It's the zombie apocalypse man. Being normal kids is a fairy tail in that world. Rick's daughter will be killing zombies as soon as she can walk!

I totally get educating them about survival, self defense, etc. It is entirely justified. But her approach is wrong. Going behind everyones back is going to come back and bite her in the ass. I still don't agree with her handling of the two girls/death of father incident. and I don't trust her with the two. Bitches be crazy.
