Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

One thing I found very weird about this episode. The holes in the roof. I mean I could understand one giant hole because of the leaking helicopter and stuff... and zombies falling down that hole. But now it seemed all of a sudden each zombies made their own hole. They were already on the roof for a while why suddenly and why little holes everywhere. And also why wait so long before taking them down. Michonne could have sliced a few heads while they were falling one by one. They waited until they got surrounded. Didn`t like that scene at all. Also, how did these zombies get on the roof to begin with?

Also, how did these zombies get on the roof to begin with? It showed a crashed helicopter on top of the roof. It's safe to say there were probably a lot of people camping on top of the roof awaiting military help when someone got the munchies.

Also, how did these zombies get on the roof to begin with? Not too concerned with how they got on the roof even though your point is valid. I did however think that exact same thing when they fell through the roof. Also the entire actual falling through the roof was stupid as well. Helicopter hit the roof it either goes inside or sits on top. Typically the structure wouldn't just hold it up just barely. Also the roof seemed very weak in many places other than the helicopter crash. It isn't that long since the zombies apoc, the roof wouldn't be weak in that many areas. I agree the whole scene was just dumb. Everything else though was a good start for a season. We ended season 3 on a very climactic note, but the beginning of this episode was anything but. I honestly had to check my Tivo to make sure I didn't miss an episode, because it seemed like a lot of time had elapsed, and there was no clear hook to signify to me "hey, this is a new season, watch me!" The first 15 minutes were dedicated to a bunch of relatively minor stuff, intended (I guess) to set the mood and catch us up on what had been happening in the ~2 weeks we've missed, but it was confusing and uninteresting to me. A bunch of throwaway characters were introduced as plot devices and nothing more. There was some foreshadowing, and some character development, but it wasn't easy to identify as such, so I can understand why someone would lose interest early on. As the episode progressed, there were some high points, but mostly lows. The whole ordeal with Rick and the girl still feels out of place to me, like filler content. There was no surprise at the "twist" because she was creepy as hell to begin with, and then we get to see Rick with the troubled hands-on-head expression for the millionth time as if he really gives a shit about this woman. All of the scenes with the glasses kid and Carol felt really poorly acted. The supermarket scene was fine, except again, the two characters who died/were in trouble were just recently introduced to us, so it's hard to feel anything. I don't think it's a sign that the season is going to be bad, I just think there was way too much setup and not enough development or interesting moments to make it worthy of being a season premiere. I think the setup was a way of showing how rick is currently at least with the girl. He feels broken. This might reflect in later episodes, so I don't think it is a dramatic waste. You are right there was too much setup. I wish there was more activity even if it wasn't big more getting to know the new characters / learning about politics of the council or whatever it was. More learning about the daily life of the people there instead distant action in the store with characters already in trouble and distant rick learning about himself. All of that could have been done at the jail (meh maybe not the rick thing, but the other stuff)

So they could launch their ultimate plan, a super sneaky zombie airstrike, trapping everyone inside, why else? There should be a newer breed of zombies. When they eat, they get stronger and regenerate body tissues. Like pudge zombies. That would be cooler and be more logical for the people who seeks logic from a fictional TV show.

Now when I play zombie games they are all fast now. Back in resident evil zombies are slow, only dogs are fast. Now all are pretty fast and needed double tap. Resident evil franchise made a good move of not limiting it to zombies. I am wondering how walking dead would progress without making the zombies too OP like the ones from world war Z. The walking dead was NEVER meant to have such things. The series is meant to be about the people, the zombies are merely a catalyst, and should always be the slow shambling zombies of romero. The real problem is just how atrocious the show's writing is which leaves in a billion plot holes and things that makes no sense, so it destroys every scene imaginable.

Looks like this season will be less plodding in terms of plot though.

I like it when the zombies swarm and when the main stars get in trouble with zombies or what. I like the walking dead because it seems zombies are manageable but when they swarm they can be very hard to deal with. And another thing, it is a zombie TV series so longer zombie show and I just like zombie apocalypse stuff.

Does it not coagulate and become gel-like merely hours after death? They seem to be going way overboard with the fake blood.
