Natsu refuses his Dragon and Demon powers to embrace his Human side, so that he can save himself from a Tumor. Two seconds later, he summons said powers, but the Tumor stays gone

Eileen, the second strongest mage in the verse, wants to kill Erza so badluy because she wants her body, and it's something she's been craving for centuries. Later, she decides to kill herself instead because she changed her mind. Instead of fighting WITH her and actually being of any help

August, the strongest mage in the verse, son of the First and Zeref, can erase any of his enemies - except Acnologia, of course - but decide to kill himself so he can do it faster. When he's about to finally unleash Hell, he sees his mother - whom he's never seen, so how on Earth he would even recognize her - and decides "Fuck it, I'm still killing myself, but I won't touch anyone else"

Zeref, the Dark Mage, has a great plan. Gain the power of the Ravines of Times so that he can change history and stop Acnologia, who is invincible. Of course, Fairy Tail is selfish and doesn't want to stop Acnologia this way, since they don't want to lose their bonds, even though they don't have any idea on how to kill Acnologia later.
Zeref, already stronger than Natsu without his demonic and dragon powers, becomes God by absorbing said power. He's a couple of seconds later defeated by the Flames of Wild Emotions wielded by Natsu. Which is not a real technique, by the way, it's a normal punch whose name was changed so it could gain a random power up

Acnologia, King of Dragons and the most powerful creature ever, wants to kill all Dragon Slayers. We'll never know why, maybe it's connected to the fact that dragons once destroyed everything Acnologia once had. But it's never revealed. What we know is that Acnologia one-shots a dragon slayer who has the power of 8 dragon slayers. However, about few hours later, he gets tricked by a flying boat first. Then decides not to kill the Dragon Slayers, but instead he decides to gather them all together. The Dragon Slayers. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE BORN TO SLAY DRAGONS. Then he shows his great depth, spouting how he wants to destroy everything. He's one-shotted by a combination of the power of 7 Dragon Slayers. Oh, have I mentioned that Acnologia is now IMMUNE TO MAGIC? I guess I forgot. I guess I wasn't the only one.

Oh. Almost forgot. Gajeel and Makarov died, at one point. But don't worry, they're still alive. Everyone is still alive. Except for Zeref and Mavis, the only well written characters in the story at this point. Well, tough break
