Didn't you know? All these teams suck and the winner will be the one who sucks least.

This is like the first series ever this TI without brood/huskar/drow/wisp

There's also more perceived sloppiness because teams force fights super, super hard sometimes now (even when they know they'll lose it at first) because they know they have a bb advantage. OG vs EG game 3 at dire bot shrine was a really good example. It might've looked like they were just randomly feeding at first, but they wiped EG with mass BBs and it won them the game.
Also the game's just a lot harder and messier than a few years ago. So many more items, so many high-impact abilities. It's usually impossible now to plan out fights the way Big God did at DAC, there are just too many variables.
edit: I do think group stages were super sloppy though, but teams got a lot better once they got comfortable with what they were playing.

btw what is winter reasoning for timber pick ?

There's also the issue of the viewer being able to see everything at once while the teams have very limited information.
edit: sniped by Erasme, feels bad.

It trades evenly with Viper and is a hard counter to TB.

Yours faithfully, me Hey pal, I've had a rough week too and an EG victory tonight would make everything much better. Cheers. You can have the EG win today if I get LGD tomorrow! I wish I could say "deal!" because that'd be nice... But I'd be lying XD. I want Sumail to be the first to win two TI's more than anything else in Dota. it's a fight to the death then So be it! En garde and all that!
