VGJ combo and teamwork is so good, as good as old time OG. The only team can beat VGJ is still LGD

I think LGD has a better chance to win this major but then my heart want VGJ to win badly. Reso has been playing insanely well throughout his career. From the time he was in empire, dc and then standin for empire, og and finally ended in vgj.

xNova jakiro is ban worthy, though it might seems a waste to use a ban on a simple to play pos5 hero lol.

LGD is super vulnerable to a draft or game plan devoted to punishing greedy bounty runes. Really surprised there hasn't been more smokes at 10 and 15 minutes.

I don't expect that. VGJ.Storm is playing well, but LGD has been playing better. This should be LGD favored, at this point, but we'll see what Storm can come up with.

VGJ.Storm has the chance to be only the 3rd NA team to win a "Premier" level tournament in the past 5 years. Technically 4th all-time.

HUGe mistake on draft from the NA boys
That was the clearest trilane with enigma bot vs nyx I've ever seen

that's why the hero is useless now but crushes pubs
- it's pretty easy to just shut her down in lane
They didn't do that like some 5k scrubs

VGJ still has hope. Enigma is one of the strongest late game hero, but he needs to bh naga and another core. It is also pretty hard to make plays with spectre cancelling your blink.

Against spectre it's just not that strong it's like the one carry that never cares about a bh unless you catch him first

according to twitch chat also the first ever major title for NA

LGD is styling on VGJ.Storm.

In hindsight, we're seeing an interesting result of unbalanced group stage. (Though it wasn't intentional; coming in, those were balanced groups. Go go hard meta shifts.)

really hope storm can put up a fight in game 3. totally outclassed these first two games, but they took both games off LGD in the groups? I thought this would be much more even, but maybe LGD had to hit their stride in the lower bracket.

explains a lot. they were uncharacteristically awful in groups, i was worried they were pulling a mineski/secret.

Maybe played 9 different heroes in the play-off so far. Ame and Chalice 7 each. fy and xNova 6.

what is meta if meta changed every 2 week

You figure out how to play on a patch before others, letting you get really far when you probably should have gone out earlier.

(It helps that Secret mostly threw game 3.)

VGJ.Storm is now a Reso-stack, haha. Though Sneyking & MSS are playing well, and SVG has drafted well.

LGD has looked good since the bracket started, VGJ.Storm ran into the better team.

impeccable counter throws from VGJ, LGD really can't compete with north american throw-theory.

I think both VG's got a little lucky with the way the bracket went. They had the first movement on the LAN's Meta (VG looked the best in the groups), and LGD & Newbee adjusted.

seems wearing that PARIS name took alot of pressure off LGD,

self affirmation (abit of a delusion lol) of less "regioned" = less pressure

or they just bribed the whole tournament for the throphy

no way in hell man
1. the plays was jaw droppingly high level (g1 g2)
2. astronomically unworthy

if anything them winning 2 majors in a row is a big DOWN towards their chances in TI

but surely being "LESS REGIONED" is a huge boost to confidence

just look at the nerd mob fans these days, very pressurizing to represent any region except perhaps WAKANDA

Newbee FINALLY adjusted and i am looking forward to them in Birmingham now, can they finally step it up and be useful again lol

i don't think it's absurd to say that LGD might be the best team in the world right now. Their tournament runs have been incredible and they're unbeaten in series against VP, secret, and TL recently. Really stunning.

i dont know, they look like theyre a bit sloppy
they let go of like 10+ bounty runes for free in mid game 3

i get triggered watching it because a set of those (2 of those) is easily worth a 2/3 man kill goldwise

if they get outclassed early by a brand new PATCH, then suddenly, you might see a very different performance

nothing to take away from the 3 AME Maybe n FY though
they styling like mad, their plays, game 1, that is some mad shit

Just as a reminder, LGD ran the lower-bracket Gauntlet, like OG did at Frankfurt. Though OG went 14-2, given they had another Bo3 they had to play.

Still, that's damn impressive.
