This is not DotA, this is pathetic. That was hardly a disgusting draft by liquid, it was their typical kotol first aghs day push timing that went wrong in early game so they resorted to ratting it. Now Brood+Veno+Huskar/Dazzle is brrrr So let's say it's not the draft but the strategy they resorted to after losing early so badly. This is not DotA, this is pathetic. Huh? Lots of people are saying "cancer cured" or whatever. Lot is not enough, should be everybody. There is nothing cancerous about ratting. Hell, if not for ratting this game would be pretty boring. Now try and find fun in match with Brood+Huskar+Dazzle. I don't have any problem with ratting being a part of the game overall, but this risk-free Agha bear strategy is far beyond what should be allowed in this game (imo). Any other hero than sniper (that wouldn't have been able to chip the last tower) and the game can last 80 min.
Actually a better in-your-face mid and game ends even quicker in LFY's favor.

This is not DotA, this is pathetic. I'm glad that liquid lost with that bear, but I wouldn't call it anti-game I just really dislike that style of play.
Without strats like this available, we would only see who can do the biggest deathball.

This event has actually been better all around as far as visa issues. We only lose one player and a caster and it seemed Team Empire did fine enough of a job without Chappie.

I feel like I'm in the minority seeing different strategies played/be viable. It's great, imo, that you have a scale of ideas that can work:
Extremes:
- All-Fighting (stereotypical for SEA) - treats DotA almost as a fighting game, objectives get taken on the basis of fights.
- Objective-Based (OG style, when they don't go full illusion DotA) - team plays to take down objectives safely, not give opponent an opening.
VP kind of combines these - they go straight for the objectives, but with a fighting lineup that basically invites the other team to fight them.
- Split-push - play around the other team, stay equal on objectives, build for lategame either with better scaling (or illusions, hi OG)
- Focused push (e.g. Liquid's Broodmother strat) where a team focuses their entire strategy on breaking in fast
- Been a while, but we still see 4P1 occasionally, too.
CIS and SEA are the "most fun" in a single game, but I love the variety.

I do agree that the aghs is a bit too strong in a late scenario. Those weaknesses are shored up way to well by 4200 gold, as you say. combined with savage roar and the movementspeed is just a bit much to play vs.
