That doesn't mean if you change teams we will view success of your old team as success of your current team. Thats just fucking dumb to assume valve would think like that. It might annoy you, but that's how they're going to do it. Having a "stable" roster is forced by Valve now. Secret's roster is just as stable as anyone else. They won a major, they're getting an invite. The only thing they are stable are 1) sucking tremendously; 2) casters still sucking their dicks. That's cool. But they've abided by all rules up till this point. The Major system is made to feed into TI. If you don't think at the very least the WINNER of each major is getting a direct invite to TI (Provided they don't change now post lock) I don't know that you can be reasoned with. Or they started having the majors so they don't feel they need to invite a team that won a tournament 1 year ago and now is a dumpster fire (newbee). So, just like in CSGO, the only major that matters for the invites is the last one. I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. If valve has any idea of how this for sure invite for previous winner is fucking the competitive scene they won't do it. Valve is not the only one to blame, the never ending cycle of direct invites is all over the scene. A Major is just another tournament out there but with a bigger prize pool. A major win def doesn't have the prestige valve tried to hype it up to be.

3/5 players are on Secret still, but if Secret stays as is, barring some miracle run starting now, they've gotta disband.
I think team houses themselves are silly for the west. Having everyone live together in the same house can make shit ugly fast. I think the smarter move would be having an office and all the players living in 1 city and treat it like a normal job. You go to the office and practice 8-10 hours a day, then you go home and have your own place and live and gf and stuff outside of the team. You could probably do the same sort of thing if the team owned like a small apartment building and all the players had their own apartment and there was a big shared apartment for work.

Having one major be more important than the others is stupid. I know it's TI and all, but except for items and prizepool maybe, it shouldn't be anything WOW.
maybe like top 4 invited rest needs to play in?

Even if there are teams that "currently" deserve an invite more than them, as long as Valve is a shady bastard, we can only assume Major win = TI Direct invite, no matter how far in the past. Unless winning major means shit now then idk what's the point of majors being a valve event either apart from free money for the players. Just what you said: free money (+ stability) for players. I don't want to argue about the same thing all over again, winning a Major 8 months ago with a different roster should not translate into a direct invite, that is my opinion. Why even call TI the biggest event if you are just gonna separate it with the quarterly valve event anyways. Just make TI a major event as well and crowdfund every major. Zero reasons to create disconnect between the events just make TI another major and the same crowdfunding as the other 3. Remove the concept of yearly championship if that was the case You don't get a direct invite to World Cup if you win the Copa America. A Major should be just another tournament held by the same organizer, they have the money and the means.
