Slark does well against Drow, but not as well as people think. Slark's ability to run at Drow has a lot to do with his dance, but you can hit Slark through his dance using Drow's ability. And late game, after dance ends you always have http://dota2.gamepedia.com/Hurricane_Pike to help you control him.

In term of gameplay I'm not sure. This is a good patch for MC and he improved but I remember a time not that long ago where he was clearly the weakest link in Liquid and if they didn't pick him DS he would look pretty lost (and so they picked DS every game).
It's a little early to call for Bulba tho, he's pretty reliant of DS to look good as well. Time will tell I suppose.

Btw, if Bulba is the tactical genius, does that take away from the view of PPD?
He meant as an analyst I believe, and in that way he's right, Bulba was the coach of EG at TI and of Liquid at Shangai, that's pretty good.

Kaka just wanted to play Phoenix and got baited. But effectiveness of drow strats in 6.87 is new to me.
That's my point though? I don't think Phoenix is must draft, especially against unfavorable match ups like IO. Like I totally agree Kaka wanted to play phoenix and they got baited into it.

What other top teams? Bulba is a NA player and until very recently they didn't really go overseas to play
Only top team that would have picked up Bulba was EG and they had offlane position locked down for years.
