I have no freaking clue what is happening in Secret right now but what i can surely say is that Puppey is part of the problem everyone overlooks.

EG hasn't done that for a long long time, in their last iteration they just rode on amazing individual skills to get to consistently good placement but they always fell short before the team that "got it". They never looked particularly dominant, they did their own things and scraped wins on talent. That wasn't enough then and with the downgrade in players skill with the shuffle I think they won't be able to substain the same consistency. Hopefully they will be the team that gets the meta and win big again. But I'm not holding my breath.

If you take out the Shanghai major, their performances both with this and the old lineup have been lackluster for a while. At Shanghai they came into the event having almost completely changed their picks, as they had done poorly before it. They found some heroes that worked for them really well and went to win the tournament. But their players (in either lineup) aren't somehow incredibly superior to every other team, they can't consistently win against good teams if they are at a strategical disadvantage. And Puppey is not a captain who is somehow consistently superior to every other captain either.

Puppeys core heroes like enigma and enchantress and chen are simply NOT in the meta right now, and they cant play the more meta heroes like phoenix and wisp to the same level that newbee/OG could, or rather puppey cant play the hero at all, and it is really limiting their strategy A LOT. The biggest problem with the team right now is that their support duo hero pool is limited as hell, and universe is a player that can make plays if you give him the neccessary farm, but with 2 massive farm eaters like EE and RTZ, its really really tough, and given PLD and puppey tendencies to want to farm too, you leave 5 greedy as fuck players. They need to put EE on more space creating cores like weaver/clinkz/sladar/qop, and just let RTZ and universe do what he does best instead of them trying to make space for fEEd.

Team's chemistry and drafts are the most important things atm.
