if alliance lose here, are they back to the dumpster?
how can you go home when you're already at home same concept, how can [A] go back to dumpster when they're already in the dumpster they we're just raking invites based on their 2 consecutive tournament winning patch plus their actually "meh" finish in shanghai considering all China is roflcopter-ing there
just wait until after Manila Major, or the furthest until TI6 we will only be seeing them slugfesting in the qualifier as ussual just like DiG, MFF, TT all are top 4 material......... in qualifier

Yes, I think that's how LRs work. If a team loses, then clearly they are back in the dumpster. (Unless they also happen to be your favourite team. In which case, they are obviously trying new strats and sussing out the competition.)

OG was going to get the invite because of Frankfurt. The graphic that Valve used pretty much showed their exact rankings in that regard, haha. (Granted, if they'd beaten Wings, they'd have had it.)

I watched the games again and you can tell that they are def trying to win, but trying some stupid shit or running stuff for the first time. Although they could have tried hard 100%, there is so much more to learn in a loss esp. against a hot team like NB. Being a fan of EG, theres an unusual feeling you get about todays game.
I see EG>NB later in this tourny
Oh its the famous saving strats for lower bracket run ? is that it ? LOL , do you really think EG wants to play another BO3 for their upper bracket life ? do you think they feel THAT confident ? they will run into Secret now , which is far from ez win , they are not on top of the Dota world anymore and I am 100% confident he picked the BEST he could to win the game and avoid the stress of another BO3 against Secret of all teams. The unusual feeling is the fact they got outplayed HARD by a better team for that series , and as a EG fan you are not used to it , thats all
You don't understand what Peter does. I find it annoying what he does, sometimes, but it works for a reason.
In Game 1, they did a "standard EG" draft. Gives away little of what they're really thinking this tournament & establishes a set of heroes. Further, it forces the other team to have a plan for EG. (All Tier 1 teams are required to, and that standard "plan" is pretty straight forward right now.) Newbee was prepared and won. It's what happens when you run the anti-EG strategy against "standard" EG. (Though I'm still pretty sure the CM pick was a resignation that he'd already lost the draft and knew it. He really should have picked Lion as their 3rd pick.)
Game 2 is where we saw things change. EG rolled out a pretty different set of heroes and a different approach. That game was on a knife's edge late, as it really ended up coming down to 1-2 swings on the Egg. Both teams know how close it was (and just how high-level the Dota was). If they face up again, things will look fairly different, as both sides have new wrinkles to watch out for.
Im triggered. Are you guys for real?
- Do you really believe that Pros at this level play for anything less that wining outright?? Its one thing to rationalize a teams inferiority if youre a fangay, but its a whole other ballgame to put drivel like this out in the public domain.
- FYI the egg made little difference. If you noticed Naga was tping onto weaver there and with naga and weaver + illusions Vs both half strength heroes(Naix & Alch without rage & ulti respectively), they wud have melted irrespective of egg stun or ray. Dire supports were also around to ensure this. It was just a SuFAIL to not disengage the moment egg started. That is the only play thatd have saved both of them...maybe... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Try and acknowledge NBs roflstomp in both games despite the draft inferiority(IMO) in Game 2. For the west only acknowledging NBs superiority, actively getting better and outdrafting them will ensure any modicum of success againt em in the future. In my mind there are only 3 captains out there who can hope to outdraft Kaka's genius -Puppan, KuroKy and PPD - so more power to them. And I can assure you that they (unlike their fangays) have acknowledgded the outplays and are actively working on stopping the NB juggernaut!
GLHF
very true
EG fangays were so salty that the egg hatched, they forget EG still have to fight 3v2 even without phoenix with Naix and Alch only have half HP, and Kael & Weaver still have 80% HP and Siren still at full HP

I disagree! Because the egg went off, they had to deal with the 2.5s stun AND, maybe more important, the Sun Ray! They had around 1/3 to 1/2 health. Much to go through for the heroes of NB, if the HP-based Sun Ray wasn't there! Especially with Armlet-Toggle. Not to mention they would have hit back big time! Weaver had an AC, but would have melted to Alch and Lifestealer!
It was a close call. That's DotA for you!
at best EG will have naix dead and alch running away, so its a 4 man wipe and NB will go highground to force buy back (not sure if roshan have respawned). please note full HP illusion items Siren already on the premises whether the egg hatched/cracked.
the best thing EG could have is a reset, not winning the game as what the fangays claiming
Adding to this. Weaver had his bugs on both Alch and LS for a while reducing armor. LS already used rage. All three of NB heros have kiting potential. Invoker plus Weaver are great chasers leaving little chance of escape. The best case scenario but highly unlikely would be LS dies and Alchemist manages to run off.
More than likely LS dies 3 seconds after destroying the egg. Then Naga who has skadi + net and invoker will just proceed to kite the shit out of alche who already used manta and has no lockdown.
