This is gonna be a very short tournament for 4 teams. Should be some good matchups.
|
Navi and Empire have it really rough. I say two worst teams to go up first against in single elimination tournament.
|
why do we still have single elim formats when it takes this much money and effort to facilitate international lans
|
go VP !!! pls pls get your first tournament victory this year

Some good games here though, the first two games could go either way. Complexity looking like they have found a nice niche way of playing that suits them, vs a VP side in you do not know what you are going to get. Then you have OG vs MVP. MVP showed that they are a useful side off the back of Shanghai, and OG who won a major.
The other two games might be a bit more one sided but, at least a potential Secret vs EG :o
|
winner of EG Secret will win easily
the other 6 teams aren't even on the same level.
At least we'll see if VP and OG are done, whether or not col / MVP are the real deal.
|
i expect coL to beat VP, OG vs MVP is hard to say but i'll put more faith on OG
then the more obvious secret will beat navi and eg will beat empire
|
weird that Secret and EG is in the same side of bracket, hopefully there will be some good games
|
VP 1-2 coL OG 1-2 MVP Secret 2-0 Na'Vi EG 2-0 Empire
Secret and EG's games should be straight-forward, unless Empire can pull an upset like they have in the past against EG. coL I favour over VP because they've been far more consistent and high placing over the CIS team. OG vs MVP is a toss-up which I say is the closest match-up this tournament, but I think MVP can pull it out with some close games, mostly because I wasn't too impressed with OG in Shanghai, I feel their lustre has mostly faded. Overall winner should be Secret unless EG studied Secret hard, and I'll make the guess of it being a MVP vs Secret finals with Secret sweeping cleanly.
|
Hope for a good crowd to make the LAN great , the games will be the same old 6.86 don't expect anything changing here ... but will maybe I'm wrong.
|
I think VP will beat Col. Cols run at the major seamed lucky too me. The had Matchups against Teams that were not on the top of their game. OG should be the favorite against MVP because they are much more consistent in the tournament performances. EG und Secret are the clear favorites in their repective machtups but i hope that empire can put up a fight.

Anyone knows how the setup works with dota and cs go at the same time?

CS is played today and tomorrow, dota starts on Saturday. Interesting to see how big of a crowd they are going to get for cs. The location and the arena seems very nice from all I've seen but not sure how big the community is for either game nearby.

Yeah as said, the LAN officially starts the 17th and Dota lan is only 2 days, 4 games Saturday 19th and 3 games on Sunday 20th. Time for the games are all listed on calendar and liquipedia :D

Will win easily ? , not sure about that one.... favourites yes , easily winning ? no way in hell.... I hope that if they do lose out you will man up and give credit to the other teams and don't go saying "bad day, they didn't care , they only care about majors" .
Good luck to your team , they played amazing Dota in the Major. Think about the major and the chances everyone gave Secret of winning it all , it should let you know that the difference at the top level is really small , the only constant name up there is EG , no one else shows that kind of track record.

The cs part of the event started and the arena seems almost completely empty. Though of course it's noon on a Thursday so hopefully people will show up later on.
