Per some of the discussion by players, there's a unofficial "top 4 get invited to next Major" understanding from Valve. That means Team Secret, Team Liquid, EG and MVP.P will get invites for sure. That leaves us with 4 more slots. Previous two Major invite rounds were Top 6 + 2 Tournament Winners. (A 2nd Place to an Invited Team counts as well.) So, that makes the Top-half of the Bracket really important to 3 of the 4 teams. Whoever comes out of that side of the bracket should punch a ticket to Manila. Obviously, if Na'Vi or Team Empire win it all, they'll get that ticket, but you're counting on both Secret & EG having food poisoning for that to happen.

I hope that if they do lose out you will man up and give credit to the other teams and don't go saying "bad day, they didn't care , they only care about majors" . Good luck to your team , they played amazing Dota in the Major. Think about the major and the chances everyone gave Secret of winning it all , it should let you know that the difference at the top level is really small , the only constant name up there is EG , no one else shows that kind of track record. ? which team was in finals of both majors? oh yeah. which team has won the most LANs post Ti5? Oh yeah. please don't delude yourself into thinking secret are a flash in the pan, they are easily on EG's level and have beaten EG over and over again in every versoin of the team. They are actually undefeated against EG in their post TI5 edition. to use EG as your example of "track record" and then disregard the fact that Secret has had a better track record than every single team post TI5 is rather adorable and hilarious sure we can argue about semantics between easily / favored, but to say EG is the example of "constant name up there" is just hilarious and ignorant, and shows you haven't followed the scene post ti5 at all.

As far as the event goes I'm not ready to count out OG. They certainly didn't look great in the end of their Shanghai run but it wouldn't surprise me if they find themselves in the finals. Interesting to see also how coL and MVP do moving forward. VP is also a candidate to do fine from that side of the bracket but I can't see them winning the event. On the bottom side hard to see NaVi or Empire get further. EG vs Secret would be an interesting matchup. In general the event is not so huge for either team, but that particular matchup makes it more meaningful I think. EG certainly don't want to continue losing to Secret.

Head to head record between both teams has favor over secret so Secret is probably gonna end up in the grand finals but i wouldn't say EG doesn't have a chance.

Hope the Dota tournament runs a bit more smoothly than the CS:GO one started.

The Secret vs EG at the Majors have been brutally close. Especially as the Frankfurt series might have been the best series of 2015.

Such a shame that a relatively stacked tournament is so short. Why stop there when we could go full korean and have bo9 finals (I wish)
