EU Dota was a bit better pre-TI, mostly because Secret was dominating everything. EU/CIS top 3 at MDL helped with that perception too, but beyond that there weren't really any tournaments with a lot of EU + other teams where EU did well

VP is likely better than every non-Secret EU team, which puts EU roughly in the same spot as they were before. Empire doing their thing and falling apart at TI and immediately after makes things look worse even though they're CIS. In addition

Edit: And while stupid dives may only make up a small % of the game time, they have a much higher impact on the outcome of games

Well it is to be expected that EU dota would be bit less successful given that both Arteezy and Zai don't play for an "EU" team anymore. Also at least for now it is true that Empire especially lost their footing after their roster shuffles. The comments that made me cringe were more about the "level of play" and how that somehow tells about everyone being surprisingly terrible.

I don't agree with lolfail that the players are suddenly worse, I just think that they were overrated a bit to begin with

Hmm, that's true. All the established teams splitting up to form what basically seems like pubstacks isn't helping perception. Instead of C9 you have Monkey Business and 5jungz, etc.

I'd also say the play would look better if VP and Secret had more games

a lot of the older players no longer have captains that can hide their flaws and the influx of pub trained mid superstars definitely makes it easier to point out flaws so to an extent I do agree just not to the level you were painting it

I mean, once again, i don't talk about mechanical flaws. I talk about grander picture. If anything, influx of pub trained superstars highlights the fact that there is distinct lack of supports in the scene, especially captaining supports.

With the amount of carry he needs to do , there is none i believe , you can pick a shit support , but picking one of the worst #1 is unreal , just take the gyro and be done with it , great AOE team fight carry .... that LS gonna get kited to hell this game S4 is smoking something im sure....
