They built BKBs. Once they had BKBs the game was over really, nothing on VP could deal with them (even if there was a miracle grip there was almost 0 damage) and rax were easy enough.
Bounty helped a lot too.
Edit: I see a lot of people pushing for BKBs on Lesh/QoP, but I don't think that would have actually made the game any more salvageable since they still had no way to cope with PL or TA

Four Chinese teams in top 5... thats brutal. I blame Secret. But as long as Americans win, Western money > Chinese money. 3 CHINESE IN TOP 4 STILL Half-life 3 confirmed!

So biggest surprise, VP or CDEC ?

More or less Octarine core made him a popular pick

That is so adorable. Like the mini maiden that we saw awhile back.

VP simply got outdrafted.
But at least good news is, Leshrac might not get nerfed.
I'm a dirty pony picker. Hero is too versatile and good in pubs as well.
Can play as mid, safe, or support and still own. Might even work in dual offlane lanes.

also special mention to cancerpony or disco pony for being almost 100% banned throughout the event

lightning makes lesh win most lanes it is insanely powerful. buff to his ult makes his early game a lot stronger, one of the fastest farmers in the game that can teamfight. dishes huge amounts of damage as long as he has the mana pool for it. Edit: thought you meant lesh

I haven't watched much since the last ti, so I'm not very aware of the current meta and the strongest heros Most recent patch introduced an item called Octarine Core that allows casters like Leshrac to scale better lategame. Leshrac in particular can become nigh-immortal with Octarine thanks to his mass AoE damage. On top of that, all the buffs to Lightning Storm over the past several patches have made Leshrac's laning phase and farming ability extremely strong.

VP going this far, and taking out Secret was pretty intense.

Except the players don't care about the money. They care about winning TI. The only players that became complacent even temporary were the champions.
