It makes one think that Dota has a - what did they call it - elephant in the room. Yeah no one practices. Secret already stated they think they scrim very little. Doesn't MVP have an amazing advantage in having a stable scrim partner that you can openly discuss tactics with? That's how korea got ahead in BW right? I don't understand why other organisations don't have multiple teams Because that's double the cost for the organization for not a ton more advertising revenue and the sudden introduction of awful negative incentives because of the heavily prize-driven DOTA2 Esports scene. Korea thinks about winning first, which is why they did it. Probably one of the most genius ideas for MobA since you cant really go all out in scrims against a competing team. It's a brilliant idea for an organization, but it needs a lot of work before it can reliably work outside of Korea. In Korea, the scene is small enough and the power of organizations is built up well enough that MVP can reasonably snap up the entire top talent of the nation. Other scenes don't have those advantages. If DOTA2 continues for another ten years, I would expect to see multiple teams become commonplace or even the industry standard. It should take some time, though. | ||
