The chance of getting eliminated by MVP was probably not in the realm of possibility for them coming into the tournament. Anything can happen in bo1, and if they get eliminated from TI by the MVPs, their fans would be like "disband NOW"
On the flip side, preparing specifically for MVP was probably never on their radar before. Now that they can concentrate 100% on beating MVP, the advantage they had of being less studied is lessened.

watching the replays ingame should work without getting spoilers.
Is this true? Last time I looked, in game client (not reborn) just showed a list of games kinda like my match history, and the way they display it tells you whether the results is a 2-0 or 2-1. And since the list of Recent Games starts with Most Recent match played, I'd know which team advanced from the previous day.
In one glance, I knew the VP-Empire match had a game3. That's pretty spoilery imo. It's also too easy to tell from the list each game lasted approx 1hr including pick/ban phase, but that's minor details.

makes it harder to fit in the all star game cos all days have 4 BO3 and long days are more likely but I'd've liked this more. plus you won't need to split rounds over days e.g. winners round 1 and losers round 4 matches are split over two diff days
You can't fit 4 Bo3s in one day on a schedule. You have to be able to fit the max number of games which in this case is 12. IF there are no long games then you are probably looking at 12 hours of game time (draft + gameplay) + 8 between game breaks + 3 between series transitions. Let's arbitrarily say that game breaks are 10 minutes total each and it only takes 5 minutes for the staff to set up everything in the booth for the next match, that is still over 13 hours.
9-10 potential games should be the absolute max. In an earlier post, I listed to progressive reduction in Bo1s at TI over the last 4 years. 4 Bo1s is already so little. We could eliminate 4 teams after the group stage instead but it was clear from last year TI is seen by fans as more than just a competition. It is also partially a showcase. The Bo1s allow all the teams to be featured on the main stage.

Alright so I've been adjusting my sleep schedule for this the past few days. Hopefully I won't fall asleep in front of my monitors later. (Taking long afternoon naps and sleeping really late)
I'm expecting live orchestra during the ceremony. then a video playing in the background with hero teases. Gabe and Bruno going in the stage welcoming everyone.
I support the decision of BO 1 in 1st round of loser bracket its to give a sense of punishment for not qualifying top 4 in group stage its to give importance to the group stage that if you fail you gonna be punished into a 50:50 scenario
