Well yeah, it's ppd's fault. But Sumail should be complaining to ppd, not the tournament organisers.

They knew this was online going into it. If they didn't want to play they didn't have to enter.

To be fair, Sumail is good friends with Tralf, and wass probably just venting and pm'ing him on the side. He probably didn't expect Tralf to announce on stream lol.

Has Fear died yet in this series? He didn't die in this game and I don't remember him dying in the last one, but I might be forgetting a fight.

I like how someone else remade another EG throw website. Honestly, I felt like people forgot the real reason for the EG throw website, and that was Demondoto throws.

I mean, we all have seen that one gg, point is that that throw aka losing a game on US East as NA team after leading 2-0 or better yet, losing whole series, would be a grand throw. Also, we can always have D3mondoto throws.

That game wasn't on US East, it was played on Lux server. Sumail had like 200ms playing puck lmao

Edit: oh nvm, yeah game 3 should be on US East now.

I mean, Dotapit Bo5s are about as reliable for assessing relative skill as hypothetical ESL Bo2s. Coordinating online play between USW and EU usually makes at least one game in a Bo5 unwinnable for someone.

Game 3 server is being decided by coinflip per Dotapit twitter (https://twitter.com/DotaPit/with_replies) so if EG wins the flip it's basically over.

game 2 looks like an EU west game(according to suma1l tweet) which is a complete stomp from EG a bigger stomp than game 1

but still people based it on b01's most teams don't give a shit about .. also b05 is more reliable than a b02 that's separated .. especially when that b02 actually doesn't mean shit at all

Game 2 wasn't a complete stomp...did you even watch the game? EG won a rosh fight then won the game off of the back of a snowballing Fear, but wasn't in a solid position until that point.

VP "won" every lane (panda had free level 7 when tusk was like 4) so I'm not sure how it could be classified as a stomp. Especially compared to game 1 which was over from minute 4.

what ? wasn't solid ? even when fear wasn't snowballing as long as he joined the key fights VP would most likely lose

you still are taking b01 games which aren't elimination match more credit b05 which actually matters ? lol

of course they are supposed to win the lanes did you check their heroes .. but they lost almost all fights even so i don't think that wasn't a stomp fear was killing everybody

wow really ? are you actually serious that a match that only changes the placement of the bracket and nobody even drops to a lower bracket matters more than a series that will give the winner the grand finals spot and the loser has to face elimination match for the next series to get into grand finals?

It's very OBVIOUS which one matters just thinking about it. you can't be this biased on trying to defend that VP is top 3 material just from that. They can even barely win against navi lol

I'm not saying they're top 3. I'm saying that online matches between EUE (and even EUW) are not a good way to determine the top three, or four, or five teams in the world. If you think they are you're nuts. Neither were ESL Bo1s of course.

I probably wouldn't say the same thing if it was Secret vs EG though because I'd be too happy Secret was losing

Edit: If it's on East this is over and it is.

Edit2: The only reason I said it wasn't an elimination match was because a statement "X which aren't Y compared to Z" usually implies that you're saying Z has the quality Y.

How Suma1l has 12.5% winrate on Lina (1-7)?

Either way, does not matter, Aui_2000 to snowball them to victory.

VP was hyped up before ESL because the majority of players did win multiple LANs as Asus Polar.

Their recognition isn't undeserved.

Asus.Polar never won a LAN. NVMI/VP.Polar did win DH:Moscow (maybe EMC but i doubt anyone wants to remember that tournament) but that's it.

I mean, hype is somewhat justified, just correcting it a little.

"This Bo5 isn't an elimination match either" is not something you would respond without you are not trying to imply/defend that it's the same shit as the non-elimination b01's that ESL had. Obviously this b05 doesn't tell they are top 3 material but ESL b01's aren't a better metric for VP than this b05.
