Not at all the case for VG. According to interviews, they have been training, preparing, and trying new heroes. The result doesn't look all that great but it's easy to see how thinking too hard about a topic is capable of making you go down the wrong path. Dazzle mid was obviously the wrong path.

even my 3K mmr can tell you mid dazzle is a horrible choice

http://www.gosugamers.net/dota/replays/39569

Everyone said what awful picks. The Zoostrat became famous and so did Solo mid Dazzle for a bit after this game. Also I suggest you never talk again because I highly doubt you are even 3k lol.

this was 4 years ago, lifestealer was also first pick first ban years ago but he's pretty shit right now.

my point is dazzle mid is terrible right now.

No he really isn't, the problem was that VG picked themselves into a corner. With that draft they were forced to win Top and Bottom lane by an extremely large margin , and even though they did win top they lost bottom which led to a lost game. SF beats Dazzle mid yes, but if you watched the game from super's perspective at all (you didnt, you most likely also listened to the casters) you would have seen how often he missed timed heal bombs and missed last hits by 5-10 hp.

if you're gonna play three games at a time you could at least stagger them so there's always something to watch.

Heh I agreed with him, though not as extreme. Swap is the only good skill she has, and it's the only reason to pick her.

Feels like a week ago she was the tier 1 support with a good stun, armor reduction for rosh, swap and that dont you dare kill me aura.

Her stun is actually quite bad and the -armour and aura is kinda overrated. Swap is the only reason she should be picked, which means she doesn't deserve the first pick she is often getting.

The aura isn't overrated. It's pretty much what carries her into having a 14% better winrate than the other supports not named AA.

While there's enough teams to make that happen, with the delays that could end up making things even worse.

It is though. And how exactly it does? Her aura barely affects anything other ganks and roshan, in actual teamfight it has low impact until ultra late if your team does not consist of morph/TB/drow/tony.

how would that make it worse than 45 minutes of downtime after each round.

so where is the zoo in that zoostrat? what, was VG going to get mass necrobooks? which of their heroes could afford necrobooks?

and how could dazzle miss his last hits? he has one of the best attack animations in the game. Obviously VG was underestimating EG's new roster and thinking they could win with a sub-optimal draft and Super's contributions in that game were.....couple of shallow graves that saved his teammates' inevitable deaths by a couple seconds.

I just still don't understand how you can have a 2.5 million prize pool tourney, and have players talking during a pause in the game about how awful this tournament is because of the lag.

Cannot believe that these tech issues are that hard to deal with. Low quality production crew or equipment is likely.

Do explain?

A game starting every 30 minutes, vs 3 games starting every 90.

one game going longer and then having much more significant effects on scheduling (which is lessened by the same start time rather than staggered)

I mean I don't think I've ever seen a Chinese tournament with out these issues. Theres a reason I didn't buy the compendium, because so far the tournament has sunk to my expectations wonderfully.

I don't follow your logic. The same teams shouldn't be playing 2 games in a row, so no reason why a delay in one game would cause larger delays in another. This way they have people complaining about downtime for 45 minutes once every hour, because there's nothing to watch.
