For this and most concerts (unless its a snake pit) a large portion of hte seats won't be sold because you won't see shit if you sit there. The seats that are sold are the ones that give you the view.
So yea you see so many empty seats because the most common views are the ones FACING the stage. where you won't have people sitting behind or directly to the sides.
seats are sold out. Close to 10k people there. Put the pitchforks down.
