Chen had his Mek and I don't think he's necessarily useless. Taking a line-up when you're behind on teamfight then having to spend >10k gold simply for positioning/greed (3x blink, 2x midas) is just going to get hard punished by a team that can push early.

he's very strong in push strats especially because of his heal. and that's what navi did this game. it was the perfect pick for the push as well as the ults combo

You wanted to say any other fucking support? Chen is never an ideal pick this meta, especially if opponent's team does not do dumb stuff like VG did in their game against Newbee.

You're thinking it gives them more of a chance because you see the team fight positioning and then imagine if they had a bkb the fight would be closer not taking into account the only reason they're in that team fight position is because of C9's blinks. Not imagining how painful it would be for them to initiate a fight if doom and ta had to walk in and pop bkb before veno slow. So, yes, if they magically got 4k from nowhere and had blink and bkb they'd have a chance, but lots of games would change if one team got 8k from nowhere.
