VG 47% vs Newbee 53% (not surprised, NB should easily take a bo3 off of VG)

EG 39% vs DK (61% (surprised, expected it to be a lot closer)

betting Newbee (arcanas + staches) and EG (probably bad legendaries/immortals)

If teams have prepared pocket strategies, I feel that the winner's bracket is the place to take them all out. Teams should also be very wary with lv1 Roshan attempts.

I agree, Newbee should be beating VG most of the time, but with the way VG has played this tournament... I don't really know for sure. That insane comeback against IG, the sub 20minute demolishing of DK.

EG is for sure a great value bet, real odds are 48/52 at worst I'd say, EG could even be favored under some scenarios, and with how they're skewed towards DK so heavily right now, betting EG is the surefire way to go.

How so? Assuming EG knows how DK plans to deal with them, they can come up with counter-measures. I imagine know how your opponent planned to deal with you along with their train of thoughts + pocket strats is quite a big deal?

well DK is going into this with the assumption that EG got the insight from that Gamefy video, so DK can easily counter-mind game EG by doing the exact opposite.

You are assuming that EG got their hands on a video that was up for about an hour, that they then got it translated, and that they would then use this information which is obviously cheating in a tournament where they are already guaranteed like $600,000 which they would obviously lose if disqualified.

There's no chance.

The chinese teams it's more likely because they will be friends with netizens who potentially downloaded the video, and because they would understand the video without any need for a translation or any sort of "paper trail" if you will. It's safer and easier for them to use the information, although I'd still be surprised if they knew more than any general hearsay that is floating around in the chinese community regarding that vid ("oh did u hear DK planned on picking huskar" type shit).

I doubt EG got their hand on the video, but it is possible. If they don't say anything themselves, it is actually very hard to do all the detective work to find indisputable evidence against them. Valve is going to be happy to sweep things under the rug. Why seek negativity for an otherwise great tournament? Of course, let's just hope that the video doesn't resurface before the end of Ti4 and nobody abuse it.

thus far VG only dropped games against the three remaining Western teams - C9, NaVi and EG.
while I'd agree iG, DK and NewBee are favored against VG in a bo3 (or at least, they were before TI) it might not be as easy as you make it out, could be a rough fight.

not yet, we're still in 2011 of Starcraft
SL 9 is MLG Columbus, but iG is failing unlike July and MC
and the Summit is Dreamhack Summer 2011 where Huk suprised the world just like EG

in 2011 for starcraft is the inauguration of merging between Korea and foreigner
such as 2013 is the inauguration of merging between China and Western (soon to be addressed as foreigners) in DoTA 2

i was looking over statistics between sylar + hao and sylar blows hao out of the water, he plays more stuff, has better KDAs, better gpm etc. I thought Newbee could just take it late vs VG and it would be easy for them. A lot of analysts say VG also has the best support duo of any teams as well (I agree), so maybe betting on VG's 45% is worthwhile.

EG is still 38-40%~ (hovering) vs DK so I'm staying with my bet on EG, although I think this is ultimately decided by EG getting dire or not: they have a 100% win rate on dire from group stages, and went 2-3 as radiant.
