Personally I don't really think they do much for the tournament. The first match has some big stakes, but the other two are just more seeding matches, after we already had 4 days of round robin for seeding. Just in general losing 8 teams behind essentially "closed doors" and extending hotel dota even further with these bubble races doesn't improve the tournament at all in my opinion. i enjoyed the 16 team round robin stage and that would have been impossible at the main event. i'm also not salty that teams are msising from main event since i'm not actualyl going to keyarena (salty about that), so i don't mind the format. i feel kind of bad for liquid that they got put into their deciding bo3 vs lgd based on head to head calculations, but their games vs lgd kinda cemented the fact that they still lacked the polish to be a top contender, so whatever

I think if you take away puppey, Navi would be another VP. A lot of good players that don't do anything. I think it's Puppey that refuses to scrim. Xboct at least is highly frustrated by it and Kuroky was shocked when he joined the team by the lack of dedication. Could be Dendi or Funnik too I guess, we don't really know.

His lack of a hero pool seems to be bottlenecking their draft. Whats bottlenecking their draft is ppy's unoriginality. Even when ppy makes a decent draft, they still lose because of poor map rotation from supports, thats the key problem with NaVi, its not because of one single person underperforming who ever it may be at a given game. The bottleneck really is just the lack of communication between the teammates. i predict disband Na'Vi have been in bad shape before, I think disbanding is highly unlikely There has been rumors that Na'Vi would probably disband. At least that's what Arteezy said in his interview at Dreamhack. Best source ever... NaVi its a pretty huge organization if not the biggest when it comes to esports, considering they just picked NaVi US which means they are big into Dota 2, do you really think they would pull the plug on NaVi EU which just won 500k and have the chances to win more in other tournaments vs NAVi US which just fail misserably in the TI4 round robin ??? If there's severe issues within the team yes. And considering last year it was pretty clear there's a split between Ppy/Kky and Hvost/Dendi/Funn1k, I'd wager that if they don't get top 4/5, Na'vi is splitting up after TI. I don't know... with the pot so large now I wouldn't be so confident about things being mixed up. Like being a top 8 team is good enough for everyone to pull in a pretty good salary for the year. Why risk that by mixing up a team and possibly ending up out of the tournament completely? If Hvost wants Kky and Ppy gone they will be gone. Hvost has alot more leverage within the Na'vi organization then you think. Not to mention, Kky and Ppy's styles of play have always conflicted with Hvost. Although Hvost is an aggressive type of carry player who shows up and tries to get early game kills, he still does need space to farm. Issue has been since Ars-Art/LOH left, he has no space creators. AA and LOH though they've degraded in skill tremendously, when they were on top of their game their style of play was much more in line with how Hvost played. They didn't take nearly as much farm off the map as Kky and Funnik/Ppy do. Right now, you've got Dendi, Kky, Ppy, and Funnik all fighting for farm on the map along with Hvost, which has been leading to the disaster that you see currently.
Maybe its communication dunno, but I agree with the rest. Ever since AA/LoH left NaVi hasnt been the same, their aggressive style of play has declined and with that hvost has fallen off, even Dendi to some extent. The biggest problem right now is ppy, the guy cant draft and he plays horribly.

Oh and Clown9 should just disband, they're the worst team of all time. By now I find it entertaining. It's so predictable. >ppd >terrible Has anyone ever said that? You can put him on a hard carry, but hes going to play utility because thats just how they've been playing for months now. that dudes pretty awful, i wouldnt take anything he says seriously i was waiting for this post

Not listening to the team captain/drafter in the final deciding game of a championship game is a pretty big deal. I'd wager that Hvost/Funnik definitely playing without listening to Ppy half the time, though Ppy's inability to play well outside of Enchant/Enigma/Chen is definitely not cool either. Kky stealing like 30% of Hvost's farm on the map is hilarious too. That game was won for them anyway though... It was really S4 cancelling one tp, and Dendi cancelling his own that go them ratted out. They were well in the lead until that happened.
They would have never even been put into a position where Dendi would have had to carry them though, if they avoided the tri-lane at bottom and Dendi got off to a fast start, that game was all but over on the draft screen. Na'vi had them clean beat with the draft that they had as Alchemist can easily go toe to toe with a farmed CK as long as Alch has his early game farm for a 5 item slot timing (which would have coincided with Dendi's Daedalus/Rapier). They had plenty of counters to Phantasm with some AoE with Acid Spray and Psi-Blades.
Hvost however demands to go bottom with no support, and ends up feeding hardcore despite getting an early triple kill.

The BO1's were fine being off stream and behind closed doors but please no more Off camera Dota next time for the BO3's.

also a lot of regional physical sports are based on region, so it would make more sense to root for your region's team even if it cycles players. with dota 2, i don't give a shit about region actually. i predict disband lol what ? Navi disband ? they just got 500k when everyone (even TL) spelled doom all over them... (No10 lol) if thats the case, poor Liquid, Titan, Fnatic, Mouz, Empire. Alliance, etc... guess we will end up with only 5 teams in Dota 2 You missed last TI where we had exactly 3 teams that didn't disband post TI and 13 that did maybe? lets see Alliance Fnatic Navi all didnt disband, believe iG stayed together for a bit as did VG, Orange-1 turned into Titan. DK reformed, not sure if that counts. Tongfu eventually became NewBee (pretty much at least) but that took a while. MUFC did disband, TL tried for a bit but fell. LGD is pretty much the same as LGD.cn i think. Zenith died, that iteration of mouz died, dignitas died, Rs.cn died and i dont even recall the VP squad from last year but it prolly was very different. so not 13 disbands but a solid... 6-10 depending on how u count iG lost chuan/zhou, and I believe faith had at one point agreed to leave as well. thats a full disband. Vg weren't even at TI LOL Orange lost their star, and sponsorship. They are the closest to a 4th "non-disband". Tongfu full disbanded and then some. It took ages for this group to re-form. LGD full disbanded, isn't close to old LGD. DK is like 2/5 the same and MMY originally got the boot as well. Everybody disbanded.
guess my memory isnt perfect would say 12½ disband for the orange-titan thing because i believe it was announced quite fast that titan took the 4 remaining players?

Shit, just tuned in, Na'vi lost?

Really only because Dendi got a highly favorable match-up mid, otherwise they were actually losing the top lane too because Kky was up there expecting a tri-lane dodge. Dendi bailed Na'vis horrible lane setups early by getting huge. All of that came down to the fact that there was pretty much no communication.
