I just want to see good games. Yes.

haha wow, thanks.
I was looking everywhere for it, except for there.

Rod Breslau @Slasher I wasn't able to screenshot it, but LGD was trending worldwide on Twitter. Na'Vi probably didn't get it because half of fans add the ' in.

He's definitely extremely good, but not quite legendary status of Dendi/Puppey/LoH. I would even place Ars-art above XBOCT if I had to simply based on his long gaming history. Completely agree. In fact XBOCT made several mistakes during this series, that really shows how strong players the rest are to be able to counterweigh that! Like? I'd again like to point at game 1 where despite an AWFUL start he managed to get numerous kills and became #1 in farm in the whole game, him completely carrying in game 2 and 3, amazing farm in game 3 on a freaking Faceless Void who's not even picked ever. It's like people completely ignore carry players. Killing heroes = you're a god. However farming well should be automatic and when you do that it's no big deal and no-skill. Stop talking. I know NaVi, I've followed them since before DotA2. XBOCT is a great player, but is the most inconsistent of their players recently. Farming is not hard for any good carry player, it's all about the team working around you, allowing you to farm. There were several situations when he was waiting too long with the chrono. But if you want something concrete - focusing a Tide who has popped his ulti. Not killing a hero who was stuck in chrono with 20% and instead hitting DS ending up getting noone. Notice how he got hexed during the gap between his chronosphere and bkb? That's a mistake. Happened several times. Don't get me wrong, I love NaVi and they are ALL great players. It's just that XBOCT isn't up to his usual standard, maybe its nerves? I've followed them before DotA2 as well. In fact far before Dendi even was in Na'Vi. He sure played consistently in all 3 of these games - I just said he was the best player in the series. Yet for some reason many carry players still fail at it especially when their team is getting crushed - This was not the case with XBOCT. This actually was the case with LGD's carry who's regarded to be a far better player - Funny isn't it? There probably were several situations where Dendi for instance fucked up as well, getting hit by that ravage comes to mind. Making mistakes isn't as bad if the rest of your play is so good. Well I sure wish I had a player in my team who when nervous manage to carry his team with a 11-2 score 650+ gpm 400+ cs despite making mistakes. Oh man how dreadful. And don't forget that, again, he was #1 in farm in the game Na'Vi lost despite getting decimated earlygame and being against one of the best carries in the world. In that he was the only player who actually did anything. Pretty sure you didn't follow dota for very long since you seem to believe that carry players don't get enough praise, along the years the exact opposite of what you are saying has happened to extremes, if you ask who played for Kingsurf most of t hose that were there will say Yamateh and remember nobody else, who played for Zenith ?Hyhy, etc. Carriers have been in the spotlight since this game was created. SK.Dota dominated the dota scene for a brief moment, yet only Loda got praised, loda this, loda that, loda loda loda. Then again Vigoss is known as the king of vP for his ganking :D

Could someone enlighten me as to why no one seems to be ever picking up Desolator or MKB? Aren't they great damage for money items in DotA?

Does every thread have to descent into people getting angry at each other over perceived lack of knowledge lol
Need more action in-game. Have people focusing on game instead of fighting with each other~

imagine if twitter wasn't blocked in china

Typical Tobi, missing first blood

imo, the chinese should stop picking naga vs navi. It seems to be exactly what navi is prepared for.

Zhou getting shut down pretty hard top.

I'm not sure why LGD chose this lane setup, seems to backfire onto them.

Now, I don't play Sylla that much, can anyone explain what the devil Zhou was doing with his bear top for the first few minutes ?

There's always hundreds of whine-posts in SC2 double-elim finals because one side having an advantage in grand finals before the actual grand finals even start is not very... grand. Now Valve does it this way and lo and behold, hundreds of whine posts again.
Personally, I like this way a lot more, especially if the grand finals are played on same day as other matches. There is absolutely no reason to think that coming from winner's bracket is NOT an advantage, so it's not like teams are going to throw games or whatever. You're going to be fresher, maybe have an extra special strat saved up, have an extra chance to observe your opponents' games... it is an advantage, however small you may want to claim it is - and the finals actually start off on even footing, which is nice. Just have single elim instead, then. Fairness is pretty important when a million dollars is on the line. Also those people who complain don't know the format. Don't give the team that wins all their sets a disadvantage in comparison to all the others. Does that make sense to you ? And with all that rant out of the way IG-LGD is starting, let's see what'll happen. Why not 16 teams league format for ultimate fairness then? They had the time to do it. Is this called a slippery slope argument? I'm not familiar with the English terms. If you do a double elimination format you don't do it up to the final stage and then remove it as if it never was there. Just do single elimination.
Then just don't think of it as a double elim. This is not proper double elimination. It has been clear from the start that there is no 1-0 advantage for the wb winner. We can call it Valve 1.5 elimination.
You were talking about fairness that is why i brought up the league format which would be the fairest format in determining the best team as everyone plays each other. So i was just wondering if you would prefer TI2 to be following that format from the start.

Desolator requires you to get it quite early to be effective, and the minus armor is easily gotten by getting a medallion instead. It also gives you ONLY damage with no survivability at all, whereas other damage items that are generally rushed like Manta give additional abilities. By the time you start looking for pure damage items, it is too late and desolator is outclassed by other damage items such as MKB or Daedalus.
MKB is only a great damage item on heroes that inherently have relatively low base damage, such as Windrunner or QoP. On most other heroes Daedalus is a better damage item.

Trying to pull the creep wave to tower since he really can't get close enough to get exp or he'll die from the tri lane, furion + sylla do this mainly.

What is "trending on twitter"? There's nothing on that page that shows anything trending. And I've heard that shit spewed so many times now for basically anything. "IT'S TRENDING WORLDWIDE!!!" Seems like it takes very minimal effort to get something trending, and seems like nobody should care or if it's even a thing.

Aren't they great damage for money items in DotA? people get MKB when going against dodge champs or if you are long range and want to siege uphill. it provides 0 survivability so it's mostly just for damage and it doesn't really help you farm either (like bfury)
desolator moreso the survival reasoning you get deso in -armor strats typically though.
pure damage just isn't viable as a option without some survivability behind it.

LGD is out for blood. They need to finish it fast to be in shape for the grand final.
