He may not be getting paid as he said for the prelims, but it's certainly in his BEST interests to cast as much of TI2 as he can, obviously. ya, i would love to get that volunteer no paid job, where i work 12 hours a day as hard as possible out of my best interest and got flame after my work shift done.... I think it is Valve false from the very first place not considering caster interest and just shove a schedule down their throat. Back in my day you have the right to refuse from doing your job(in this case volunteer job) if you feel like you cant do it at your best and protect your image, brand. Its like asking an actor to do a shitty movie just because he was in the previous series (Bourne anyone), he has all the rights to refuse doing it to protect his acting career even if his fans wanted him to.

Well he didn't refuse when he took that free plane ticket and hotel room, and he gets ad money and he's promoting himself. This is only a win win situation for him. He just feels he's not winning enough.

You are not the only one, I always preferred Markdrav . It's too bad he had some personal issues and stopped casting(not sure if he is doing it again, nowadays). From what I've heard so far, Tobi has somewhat improved in the last 2something years. So it's not all bad. Dude... he's getting money from ads, people would have not watched said ads if Valve didn't organize and fund the event. Another thing is that casting The International is the best advertising you could ever ask for, as is being featured on dota2.com I don't understand why you're trying to make it sound like he's doing some kind of a charity. If anything this is the complete opposite.

Why should he get a medal for doing his job? ... i really have doubt this could actually reason with you but i will try. So are you saying if i got paid to create a webpage for a company mas a programmer, i should also code the entire database system for the company for free? He WAS NOT GETTING PAID to do the prelim rounds as stated... so clearly its his job to do it for free for 12 hours straight. Especially he was enjoying the games so... hey guys, i dont know, lets shove down his throat the games he dislikes and torture him by making his volunteer experience a shitty one. And i dont know, lets flame him afterward just to make his life miserable for the fun of it. Idiot? yeah. And medal for doing his job? did a solider deserve a medal if it was his fucking job to die for a country?

But a lot of people are disappointed because in the spirit of what Valve has been doing and how Valve have made sure that all teams and players receive spotlights, Tobi were unwilling to share. For the good of all the casters and all the viewers, it was needed for Valve to allocate to ensure that every game has 1 English casters. And they try to give all pairs of casters important games to increase their exposure even for the less known casters. For Tobi to go against that and said initially that he expects to cast high level and relevant games only goes against that spirit And Dota community in general are very divided ( eu dota, sea dota, na dota, pinoy dota, russians). So if 99% disagree with the opinon of a fan favourite such as Tobi, then it tells something. Hell even M5 are unprofessional threads have more disagreements.

"water bottle" money is more for the average streamer like the vast majority of the TL livestreams. But for people like Tobi, it's definitely not "water bottle" money.

All your Arguments about TOBI Wow. So Tobi gets a shit ton of Ad Revenue when he regularly has 10K+ viewers on his stream(Which isn't much According to you) and he gets invited to TI2 where he gets PAID by Valve and he still Flips his shit because he isn't getting the Best Matches to Cast(Which is also false) I don't see any other casters crying about how they didn't get the Best matches when they casted games for as long as Tobi did.

Also worth noting is that when Chuan guest-commentated a Tongfu match for ACE, he effectively called Hao the weak link on Tongfu--saying that the other 4 players take control of the midgame, but as 1st position carry he doesn't play good safe DotA like he should and throws games that they should win because of it. thats why he sucks on syllabear. he's like the opposite of burning On August 28 2012 14:35 Artic wrote: The Zenith vs EG games were casted in client by 2gd and another person (LD? not sure) they should honestly just try get 2gd to fill in, that guy is entertaining
