But the problem is that he was announced as the caster for TongFu vs iG, for example, and he didn't cast it. I don't care if he suddenly decides to cast another match, but he should've casted TongFu vs iG. It was announced yesterday to everybody. | ||

On paper, there are no bad matchups. Second, he's cast most, if not all, of the Na'Vi games as the assigned caster. Na'Vi is easily the most famous European team, probably the most well-known team for the audience period - they certainly have the most fans - and are the defending champions. They also have players who Tobi is known to be quite buddy-buddy with. Third, no one can know what the results of the games are going to be in advance. I personally thought iG v Na'Vi had a chance to be a pretty decent matchup; it was the most one-sided smackdown we've seen so far. For him to be getting irritated by match quality is a bit silly. Fourth, whether or not any of those other complaints are valid - and rest assured, they aren't - what he's doing is ultimately hurting fans. Valve contracted with the casters they did for a reason. Their intention was to have English commentary for every game, even when there were three and four matches happening at once. Tobi going off on his own has two effects. It hurts viewers for the games he was supposed to cast, and it hurts the casters whose games he's taking over. It also affects people like Purge - and what follows is ENTIRELY SUPPOSITION - who didn't seem like he was at all ready to cast iG against TongFu. He kept disconnecting and had a bunch of audio issues. For most of the match GoDZ was completely inaudible. He's a professional and a really good caster; the only way I see that happening is if he was a last-minute replacement. | ||

Let's pass the argument of which games should be considered as bad games, his reason is extremely selfish. He doesn't want to cast bad games, then who will have to? Someone has to cast bad games so that Tobi will be able to cast good games? | ||

If every caster simply chose whatever the fuck they wanted, half the games wouldn't get cast. He's simply shafting Valve and blowing off the games he's been assigned because he thinks he's too good to be casting anything that isn't top tier. Someone has to cast those games and his sense of entitlement is absolutely appalling. No other caster is making a big deal of this, the other casters aren't all getting homerun games one after the other but they're doing their job so that games don't go on without anyone to cast them. Tobi is just being an entitled ass. | ||

I don't think you understand what "sensationalist" means. Tobi even said it himself in his replies, he thinks he deserves better. No one is taking this out of context. Hell, for one of the most popular casters to be outcast by the community you should realize he did something wrong. Fucking brat-like behavior to leave a game uncasted in protest. | ||

As tobi put himself and for streamers like myself and v1lat that commit alot of time to stream many DOTA2 events we do, yes, expect a certain lvl of game to be cast. Sorry guys, I won't cast games that are not up to my level. That is best left to lesser casters...How disrespectful... | ||
