The text is surprisingly readable with google translate. Basically he's saying that VP's manager fucked up, told the DH invitational admins that VP could play without realizing it was already really late and then it was postponed and too late they couldn't play, or something. He's apologizing to DH invitational for the trouble... Managers really need to step it up, this is getting ridiculous. First it was EG not qualifying to EMS groupstages because of a major fuck-up, and now this.

The fact that some of you fanboys are seriously trying to make this look like it's anyones fault except VP's is fucking ridiculous. The reason the DOTA2 spectator experience is so often poor is precisely that no team is ever accountable for anything.

According to the above article VP is effectively already out. Now that their upcoming match is meaningless I suppose VP could just forfeit that one as well and give QPANDAS the defwin?

Top 3 advance with different seeding into the bracket, they can still advance.

The translation of NS response.
I hope it is readable.
--------------------------------------
The DH Invitational forfeit situation.
I should start by apologizing to tournament organizers, which I already personally did when the forfeit decision was made.
We chose to forfeit because we did not find it possible to play a best of 5 at 1:30 am MSK. There were 2 problems. First - the game was scheduled on a late time in the first place (12 pm MSK), second - it got delayed on another 1.5 hours.
We did not refused to play only because of the delay, no, if the game would have been scheduled around 8 pm MSK, we would have definitely played with any delays, but 1:30 am was way too late for us.
How did that happen? Obviously, admins were not warned that we have specific for the Europe time zone and it is important for us to play as early as possible. Naturally the fact that admins were not warned was completely our fault and in no way was a mistake, or a malicious intent of the DH Invitational organizers.
I hope I more or less explained what happened, the responsible will be punished, and I hope this will never happen again.

There's just a couple of possible scenarios:

TL>Empire, QPAD>VP
1. TL
2. QPAD
3. Empire
4. VP

TL>Empire, QPAD<VP
1. TL
2-4. Three way tie, all teams at 1-2

TL<Empire, QPAD<VP
1. Empire
2. TL
3. VP
4. QPAD

TL<Empire, QPAD>VP
1-3. Three way tie, all teams at 2-1
4. VP

How do you guys handle three way ties? Tiebrakers? Number of individual games lost/won? Time rule?

So it seems that VP manager(s) totally failed in this case and they should be punished for defwin for Liquid.

If a video recap is also acceptable then you could wait for the GD Studio's own recap. This is the one they did for yesterday's games:

It's only for when im not at a computer but can browse on my phone, i just figured someone would post a little bit of recap

Empire doesn't seem to be happy about the scheduling, much like VP:

"Team Empire @team_empire 19m
Going to play against @TeamLiquidPro very very late tonight, 22-00 CET @DreamHack Inv by @TheGDStudio"

Let's hope the quality of the match won't suffer from it.

So it starts for them at like 1 am? Really bad

It must be their own fault too.
But seriously, as the tournament continues, considering that there is no time for rematches, because the studio is vey busy, there will be more problems with CIS vs US matches. There is no room for error both for teams and for the tournament itself.

How is their own fault? If Liquid can't play earlier then what? But yeah, CIS vs US matches are problematic scheduling and otherwise.

These are the last matches with Russian teams aside from RO6/RO4/Finals which we have not scheduled yet and will work with teams on. I hate to sound like a broken record but we can't really do much because so many leagues run so many matches and teams want to participate in everything, we worked with everyone on the schedule.

At least you are letting us know that you are aware and doing your best. I, for one, appreciate that (even if the schedule is still messed up).

Thanks

I understand that this is not your fault, as in you have tight schedule and all that. I was refering to people who were screming "omg Virtus.pro can't play at 2am, what a shit team, that's their fault blablabla"
