It's about whoever is ahead. If Nyx is playing better and getting more active, then Nyx is a threat, if he isn't then the matchup goes to Skywrath as you can justify a gem after arcanes in that situation. It's the same as if you have a bane vs a Nyx.
Also if you've forced a Nyx to get blink just to get to you, that isn't a bad thing.

Honestly from what i've seen recently it looks like nyx is slowing moving out of being a first pick first banned hero, teams have learned how to play against him. And apart from the "sentry tax" he doesn't seem to have that big of an impact anymore on most games.

Well yes but getting a gem on Skywrath is.. pretty risky 
About the caster hate, I don't have a problem with Luminous normally, infact I followed him from the start of his casting career, but listening to this is just unbearable :D

Funny thing is the few seconds I had the commentary on, EE was daying he was sure that the Skywrath would be a support and thus wouldn't lane vs the Mag.. While it's just obvious you'd want him to do exactly that
