Anyone knows where DTA is from?
Also this might be interesting:
@GodBlessMali My league will be held in gsl system, but in easy version. Mb in next season we will use their gibrid system

Thanks changed it. I think it's cool that we see something different than the old "lets make a ladder or one huge bracket" approach. Matches will be more important. Also I wonder if it is seperated by continent.

Couple of easy groups, and a couple of groups that will be hard to predict. Can't wait

While it may not look super exciting from the start, I'm so happy to see this tournament agree to use this format.
It gets very tiring watching all teams from an 8 team group play all their matches (Defense) when someone have no meaning, and all teams play every 15 opponent (starladder) when some matches have almost no meaning (well maybe affect relegations). Nothing against these tournaments, but for a tournament to remain exciting I feel it needs to give every match direct importance, and basically as harsh as it is, the "weak" teams need to be eliminated fast, not seen play in 7 separate games.
This format will weed out the teams quickly (2 losses, goodbye), and also if you are playing, then you have a chance to advance, you're never gonna be 0-3 or 1-4 and still playing a match.

The defense format was unnecessarily long. I mean over 3 months for a online tournaments. Come on, you don't have to milk it that hard.
Also with more leagues the teams have less time so this definitely helps.

More importantly this means that every day is a mini-tournament, and teams don't have to sit around and schedule matches days apart. Much easier to just say "be free this 5 hour block".
