Yeah, I like this format coming to Dota 2. I just wanted to tune in to listen to S4, but... Let's just say he didn't have very much to talk about with this game. | ||

In the traditional online round-robin format, not only are there meaningless matches, but you often have no idea how a particular match fits into the overall storyline for the group stage (even if the tournament shows standings / brackets, you still only get a few random chapters from that story each day in most cases). You might get a FEW less total games from the top teams (the ones you're missing would have been stomps anyway), but every game affects the overall results of the tournament and you get the same number of meaningful games in the later stages than you would in any other Western event. Basically, GSL format is great and we're super pleased WePlay agreed to give our take on it a shot! | ||
