If the captain didn't disconnect I'd force the team to play with the Omni. Even if he did, I'm kind of over every single team DCing. Is the internet world-wide having a meltdown? Or are DotA pros just that bad at staying connected?

It'd be a smart way to get yourself some free minutes to decide what to pick. Just disconnect and be like crap sorry.

3 hours since I turned the stream on and only one damn game has been played. I know it's not the admins/players fault but it's impossible not to get frustated.

Players seriously need to be penalized for constant disconnects. Each team should have a maximum of 30 minutes pause time between games and 10 minutes in each respective game. Numbering the pauses is idiotic. If your player disconnects mid-game you wait that time and if he cannot connect you lose. If he disconnects in the lobby, you have that time (30 minutes) to find a stand-in.

It costs tournaments viewers to be sitting around in uncertainty as another player disconnects with very little details given to the spectators. It's a players responsibility to have working internet as it is the vehicle of eSports. If I'm a delivery driver, it's my responsibility if my car breaks down.

That's actually not correct, one of the admins was already talking about giving a defloss pretty quickly after the pause. However it seemed he randomly forgot about that until just before Maelk came back into the game.
