Thats the problem with Treant+Rubick, you can't actually gank or rotate very well because you have shit for damage and only 1 disable.
You gotta dive with Treant, and pick diving heroes. I think they wanted Dendi to dive, but Dendi got shut down. There weren't another hero on Na'Vi that's capable of diving. That's why Weaver gets picked with Treant. Blood Seeker is also a hero that works pretty well with Treant, but easier to counter.
Diving a Dragon Knight is a bit risky considering that there is an Enchantress on the team(who has only done ganks on her side of the map so you have no idea where she is. Dragon Knight is Tanky, can stun you under your tower(Living armor is not invurnability).
And then there is the potential for a Visage TP in as well with Grave and Soul Assumption

You don't really need to gank or rotate in the laning phase when you have Treant. They would have won the laning phase outright if Dendi and Funnik hadn't overestimated just how much protection living armor gets you.
to be fair, funnik wasnt out of position or anything. with tree armor spammed on u, u have to play aggressive in lane even if it's a waste . enchant is a good pick vs tree though i think the mid ganks won them the game more than anything.
I think LGD.Int did this too, play a Jungling hero like Ench or Chen, be greedy and either break even or win another lane. Tree pretty much has to win the laning stage or risk falling behind.
It is difficult, yea. Na'Vi was being too cutesy that game thinking Chinese have no idea what to do vs. a Treant. But LGD.int plays Treant all the time, and was one of the first teams to experiment with it after Goblak; that's why Pajkatt thinks it's overrated, though I'm not sure how efficiently LGD.int's line ups with Treant are.

no way Dendi could risk diving.

Which is actually hilarious considering that when they played LGD in the reverse captain games, they picked or banned Treant in the first phase every game. Meaning they probably considered him to be a top 5 worst heroes in the game
I don't remember the last time I saw Funn1k actually play WR. Since Funn1k joined NaVi, when Puppey picks WR, it's usually WR mid. I hope they scrap it together.
And also, they almost always pick Nyx, why didn't they? Rubick and Treant support seems so, awkward.
