Didn't diversify strategies enough and lost faith in their best one. Didn't help that their scrimming partner was LGD, the most static team in China. | ||

I don't think it's much of what went wrong, just a good start that was bound to be figured out - Their initial dual-roam with a setup support + chen/ench was what took the Chinese scene by surprise and was smashed by iG eventually within a couple of months. After that, they seemed to have trouble whenever they try to diversify their styles. They don't seem to have any other strong style of play. | ||

They had a great training environment and looked really good in their first few months. imagine being a russian (a really unique/different culture) living with europeans/north americans speaking english in china playing video games all day for 10months. sounds fucking nightmarish to me. similar things apply to the others, though not quite as severe as for G don't think anyone ever thrived trying the starcraft equivalent. the culture shock and grind of it is brutal, and genuine progress seems to consistently get undermined by the mental stuff. people really underrate the condition a player/person is in | ||
