Well, more than 90% of carry's success depends on the play of supports and Fnatic has some of the best support players in the scene. Carry position is the easiest to replace on the team, EG did it, now Fnatic does.

I like how Empire feels they must ban Wisp, Tinker and Meepo, but you can't ban three of those heroes at the start hahahaha. One is always gonna get through or Empire will have to pick it themselves. Also it means Fnatic get the other OP shit like Doom.

Hmm.
Era has got to be so happy to see his team doing well but so worried that they're playing even better without him.
Not sure that being worried about Fnatic's versatility is worth the pain. Each player plays enough heroes you can't ban 'em all out and they know how to put together smart drafts from what is left in the pool. By the way who drafts for Fnatic?
I would be more worried about whether Fnatic can keep their form, based mostly on their difficulty playing at a consistent level in the past.

I just don't think we can really say which version of the team would be better in the same circumstances. Anyway, I think the real test will be whether Fnatic can practice enough different drafts in time for TI4. I'm cautiously optimistic, but we'll see. You can't expect a ton of flexibility early on with a standin, but they're gonna need it before too long. well , getting god level on a hero is what makes ppl ban it against you regardless of the meta , i dont think Era wouldve become god tier on some heroes (as he never did during his all time playing with Fnatic) just by boot camping. ill agree with goody here , it reminds me of the must ban phase vs Alliance during TI3 , which gives Fnatic the option to do as they like I dunno, for a while there the only reason LS wasn't getting banned all the time against Fnatic was that other teams could run it, too, and Era's Tiny was stomping people for some time, too.
And again, just to be clear, I'm not saying Era's definitely better. I just don't think we're in much of a position to say either way. They're such different players, playing different kinds of heroes, different lanes, etc. And I agree with what a number of people have been saying: a ton of what's going on has to do with the other four players on Fnatic, who have been shuffling themselves around a lot and building drafts and strategies around Xcalibur.

Sure, supports are the one making space, but would anyone on Fnatic be able to take advantage of that space and dominate the game like Xcalibur has been doing? Their strength is in their coordination.

they are and you are right , but this meta enables a greedy high impact mid more then any other patch , so in this scenario ill say Excalibur has the edge , in a team fight oriented meta , Era will be better. in any case best of luck to Fnatic not my fav team , but most def i see them as a dark horse coming for ESL and TI.

H4nn1 tiny?! That's new. Let's gooooo.
Also I'm really liking that fnatic have consistently been drafting stuns. They used to have a problem with that.

Timbersaw is good against meepo.

Oh man, the chilling touch + blink strike combo might be happening.

woah another game another crazy Fnatic draft.
I love how Fnatic can exert a lot of control over the draft direction just because of how well Xcaliber plays these formerly uncommon heroes.

I'll say that Xcaliber seems to have a little better killing instinct. He's wound up with three or four early game kills in games with Meepo and Tiny.

N0tail was saying that doom is sick and that you should either ban or pick it every single game because the team with doom is more likely to win just because of having the hero.
