Wouldn't Tranquil Boots + Soul Ring give you better laning presence (you can spam swarm more) compared to Phase + Bottle? And isn't it why Euls is considered as a core on dp cuz it gives her more ms and you can chase with cyclone? - You generally (never?) dont want tranq on a mid hero with bottle. Bottle is enough for sustain and spending more money on early health regen is seldom required. Some mana intense mids might want mana boots (pugna, zeus, skywrath) on top of bottle, but other that that its almost always phase/treads on mids. Tranq also means you'll have to not attack/get attacked while farming, which is quite a hazzle to get around. - Same with soul ring. Bottle -> Eul fixes pretty much all the mana/health sustain you'll need. Soul ring becomes a waste of money. - Eul has lots of good uses for DP. It helps her interrupts TPs which she otherwise cannot, ppl would just TP away from her. It helps setup her setup kills (Eul -> walk close while active ulti -> silence as the cyclone ends -> dead enemy). It helps her survive fights while still allowing her ghosts to continue do work. You want to be in the middle of things to maximze ghosts and while a Force staff or so might save her from same stuff Euls does, it means she moves out of the might and ghosts dont do as much damage. Thats on top of the stats which are of course good since it helps her farming speed greatly because of how spammable swarm becomes. Euls is pretty much as core as it gets.

And isn't it why Euls is considered as a core on dp cuz it gives her more ms and you can chase with cyclone? I have considered Eul's core on DP for years. Gives her everything she needs. Most pros who plays her goes Eul's as well. Shouldn't rely on Valve's item suggestions : p. There are other item builds that can work as well, like Mek Atos, but I think it's a bit more situational. Phase helps her lasthit and chase a bit better. Krob right-clicks a lot in fights, definitely better with Phase. The damage from phase should not be underestimated early game. On some heroes all it takes is a few clicks + one swarm and they are dead. Issue with Soul ring is that early game when it's useful she is already kind of squishy. Krob early game relies on Euls + high mobility to stay alive. With an already low health pool, Soul ring is a lot more risky. Plus with Bottle + Euls + Magic stick/wand, she isn't really mana starved anyway. And then later into the game when she gets another big Int item like Shivas/Hex then it's extremely hard to run out of mana so the 800gold on Soul ring is kind of wasted. TL;DR Euls is amazing Tranq + Soulring not so much

I'm asking if there's any edge case against some heroes that I need to be aware of (slark bounce, void bash, etc.?)

Is there any site with a top list for games played on a hero? Take the new techies as an example. Where do I see how far down I am on the list?

Also, I think ghosted targets can still be splashed by Dragon Form 2's DoT but I'm not sure about that.

I'm asking if there's any edge case against some heroes that I need to be aware of (slark bounce, void bash, etc.?) Slark's pounce is magical. If you are ghost sceptered you would still get hit and cooldown on your blink. If you ghost scepter during Jugger ulti he will keep jumping you but your blink will recharge the 3seconds and you can blink away. Bristleback's quillspray is Physical and it does interrupt blink even if you are ghost sceptered. You don't take damage but it still interrupts. Really think it's just the Quillspray that interrupts. Don't know any other. Axe's spin might do it too, don't know. There are some spells, items and creeps that can purge ghost scepter though. On September 16 2014 05:22 Yurie wrote: As for my question. AFAIK if you get Dotabuff Gold or whatever you can get a top 200 list for heroes. So if you know someone with Dotabuff Gold they can check it for you.

There are a lot of lingering bugs related to this because DotA 2 doesn't consistently handle immunity and damage instances well (in analogous case is that if you use BKB while a spell is in flight toward you, SOME spells will disable your blink but some won't). It's a mess that Valve hasn't cleaned up properly yet.

Corrosive Breath only affects the main target. Splashed targets do not gain the Corrosive Breath debuff: Splash Attack: Deals 100% damage in a 100 AoE, 75% damage in a 200 AoE and 50% damage in a 250 AoE around the attacked target. Corrosive Breath is applied to the main target only. Splash does not damage buildings. If he autoattacked you before you Ghost Sceptered, it would continue to burn. But if you Ghost Sceptered before he could autoattack you, he would not be able to apply Corrosive Breath to you.

1. How do I start rolling earlier? (Pressing W twice does not help). 2. Will the snowball be slower if I cast it and enemy warlock cast upheaval on top of me?

Not 100% sure but I seem to remember that the snowball takes its base speed from Tusk's speed at the start of the ability, not during. So if you're slowed when you start it you'll go very slow when it begins, but if they try to slow you after it won't work. I can't check it right now but I think I saw that in a video.
