so i had to pick techie for my hero challange and because many ppl want to play him i needed to pick him as fast as possible.
i then googled how you instapick a certain hero and the solution would be to choose techie in a privat lobby game, leave that game and search for a MMR game. and then techie should appear as the first hero to choose from.
i did like i said above and i ended up with a timbersaw as the first hero to choose. can anyone explain me why?

its been pretty buggy lately, i've noticed. heroes that i had selected aren't brought up at the pick screen, its usually off by a hero (maybe 2?). perhaps the indexing system on the heroes hasn't been updated properly. techies and timbersaw are next to each other alphabetically i think.

i'd try picking the hero in front of techies and see if that gets techies to pop up at the pick screen for you.

I always give people the benefit of the doubt, assuming they're capable friendly guys who want to have fun, play good games and learn.

From what you wrote it seems like you expect games to go a certain way(probably similar to pro games, just guessing).
Dota is not *supposed* to be played a certain way. Get that misconception out of your way fast.
Playstyles are not necessarily wrong or bad because you don't know those playstyles.

From playing techies in ARDM, I seem to remember mines sticking around after I respawned. Don't know about Chen creeps.

Chen creeps instant despawn the moment you die. Which made me sad, because I could've killed SF with them.

TA traps do not despawn.

Dunno about anything else.

Is it viable to build damage items on Magnus after blink and mana boots?

It isn't the worst, but I would think Refresher has more impact in most games.

It depends on what your team needs. You build damage when your team needs damage, but it's silly to build damage if your team needs more disables or key team items.

Why was Tiny such a threat earlier in the game, and far less dangerous later?

Its funny how Dota works sometimes.

Tiny was an early game threat because pressing one of his buttons, then the other, resulted in an 850 or so damage nuke at lv9

He was not a lategame threat because he couldn't flash farm, his passive was essentially useless and grow was extremely inefficient as a damage multiplier

As I understand, if maelstrom procs while the lightning from its previous proc is still bouncing then the new proc will fail to create a new chain lightning effect. First, is that correct? Secondly, does mjolnir's chain lightning stack with maelstrom's-- as in if a mjolnir procs right after a maelstrom procs, will it start an additional lightning bounce? How about the lightning from static shield?

yes yes and yes yes, there will always be more lightning since they fixed the bug and now lightning can occur while lightning is already occurring

Please elaborate. I was seriously considering 2+ thunders for the lulz.
