Kind of, sometimes, but not really. Knowing that the enemy DOESN'T have vision of a location can be as valuable as knowing where they do have vision. Knowing that they have a clifftop runeward is valuable, not only because you know they have vision of that rune, but also because you know where not to go / smoke if you're planning on rotating.

So with that in mind, when you have truly no idea where they have vision, stick sents in places where knowing they don't have a ward is helpful. As Radiant, the stairs leading in to the jungle on dire side's mid is a fine example, because if they don't have vision there (and the t1 is down) you can rotate into dire's woods undetected. From Dire's perspective, sentries for lanewards on the dire offlane allow you a route safely into their jungle from bottom, and sentries on the cliff/ancient area of radiant's mid, once radiant's mid tower is down, probably allow rotations from mid into their woods.

If you're talking dewarding specific runewards, then yeah it is a matter of guessing, because both runewards have 3+ common spots that give rune vision and can't be all covered with a single sentry. Best practice here is to always have runewards yourself, so if they don't deward before warding you see exactly where they place the ward.

generally it's not worth counterwarding with sentries unless you know where their wards are

that means either knowing when they place their wards or watching them back off when someone goes to gank

Disruptor ult with aghs prevents you from using a tp, but if you're already tp'ing will it break channeling? I'm guessing no but want to confirm

and yes I know glimpse will stop the tp

simple question: when do you know a lane is completely lost and do you just give it up, what are you suppose to do?

long version:
say I am a squishy ranged support with one stun, supporting safelane also squish melee carry, ie Jug.
facing up two ranged orb walkers, husker and clinkz, who kept harassing and driving us away.
couldnt pull because they also kept lanes pretty pressured.

pretty noob, so just wanted to get assessment of the situation, is the lane just lost?
tried to stand ground, but it's like one range going against two orb walkers, even when i managed to stun one and the Jug bladefury, with low lvl stun they still have time to either kill me or jug, or both.

in this case, is better sometime to just give up and try to help win another lane? would it be worse leaving the jug alone?
whats the best thing i could have done? ended up just feeding couple more times and felt really bad, plus the jug got no farm at all

yes, you should absolutely leave jugg to stay within xp range and just soak solo xp. if you're losing a lane, the best thing you can do as a support is allow the core to get solo xp since they won't be last hitting.

since you have a stun, you could smoke mid, camp a rune spawn, or stack camps for your struggling laner/mid. you could also try to call for a rotation and get a 3v2 kill depending on the other heroes in your game.

to answer your simple question, though..you know you've lost the lane when neither of you can approach the creep wave without taking heavy dmg, getting completely zoned out, or dying.

uhm can someone teach me the proper way to stack pull dire easy lane pre 7.30 wave? from what i know the hard camp has 3 pull routes, the lowest route is for the dire offlaners mostly, and theres a middle route which is inside the trees, and there is a top route. to do the 52 wave pull pre 7.30 i understand its suppose to pull through the middle route, but almost 80% of the time the next wave from radiant approaches and pulls the ranged creep (since he has 800 aggro range or some shit) + 1-2 melees if im lucky.

what to do?! i know if im am or some shit i can blink over to cut the wave but is there any other way?!!

this is so aggravating.

Pull the top route. Practice in a private lobby. Make sure you are cutting the right tree. Try to communicate to your lanemate to push the lane hard so that there's no chance of an enemy creep wave.

ok thanks just tried it in lobby it worked. the tree im meant to cut is just any tree left of the hard camp yes?

can someone tell me what's up with blademail furions now days? i the higher rating i got more and more furions go for blademails as one of their items. what gives? i thought it was retarded build at first, but then they would pick up mjollnir, put the lighting thing on themselves tp in to back door and when the other team tp to defend, he would blademail and take like 3 ppl with him.

It's just trendy right now, with nulls lets furion man fight in situations he couldnt and comes online very quickly.

im like 82% sure aghs ult will cancel TP; im fairly sure that since it disables items, it will disable channeling of items but as i learn every day dota mechanics are weird sooooo

You know you can check that and be 100% sure in like 3 minutes in a practice lobby, right?

Disruptor aghs does cancel channels, including TPs. So does glimpse, which is much easier than blowing your ult.

I'm trying the Bulldog Furion build, and in the 'official' guide to it, Bulldog goes Treads before Maelstorm. Wouldn't it be better to build the Maelstorm first? faster farming, more damage, you don't need the boots to gank (I think?)

and does he not get a Basi ring?

I think he gets treads for survivability as well as tread switching when he farms/uses spells, which makes it easier to get away with no basi
