I agree, I don't think Weavers animation is bad at all. Every hero just takes some getting used to, you'll get there, I guess.

His animation is fine, its just that the projectile speed is quite slow.

Weaver's animation is objectively bad--he has a frontswing of 0.64, and there are only 4 heroes in the game with a longer frontswing (Drow and Clinkz with 0.7, Lina with 0.75--Zeus technically has a shorter one with 0.633, but Weaver comes to lane with a lot more Agi so Weaver's is slightly better from the get-go).

His last-hitting is ok because his base damage is quite high for a ranged hero, but if we're just looking at his animation, it IS bad and you can't really say otherwise.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that doing pretty much anything besides moving while under Vendetta will break it, ie. any spell usage, item usage, or attacking.

Hey guys, I figured I'd post my question here since I'm assuming it's relatively easy to answer.
I switched over from SC2 to Dota and so far I've been doing decent except for the fact that I can't seem to secure last hit on champions in team fights. My creep kills are relatively good for my level and I don't die often but I find that when my team engages I can't seem to get the last hit.
Now I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but when I'm playing a carry and I'm 3 kills/15 assists I sense I'm doing something wrong.
My two main champions are Anti mage and Juggernaut if that helps.

Is there anything I could do to improve my last hit potential for enemy champs?

You want to get as much farm as possible but with kills it is better to secure the kill (KS means both kills steal and kill secured ) than bother with giving it to the carry, assuming he gets the assist gold it's like 4 creeps anyway

Yeah pretty much what the guy above said. Your supports generally do everything possible to make sure you get the most farm possible. But risking waiting on a carry to last hit a hero for a kill isn't worth letting that kill get away. Not really a big deal if a support gets the kill gold. Most games are decided by how farmed your carry and supports are. More items they can get without disrupting your farm the more they can do to save you throughout the game.

Also, to add on to this a bit, it's not necessarily like it's 'different' from lol to dota, as in you still want your carry to get that lasthit on enemy heroes if it's possible - but it's not something you should be focusing on improving at really hard, especially not in big teamfights and engagements. For early-game ganks, if it's possible to secure the lasthit for your carry without letting them have a shot at escaping, then yeah, obviously you should feed it to your carry - but it's almost never going to lose you a game if your supports snag a few kills here and there unless they're actively killstealing your carry in every engagement.

That's not really it, in LoL almost all the money comes from kills. Assist and creeps both give way more gold in Dota and with the flash farming ability of AM it's not like you really need the extra 100-200 gold from each kill when you could easily make that up with just one creep wave or 2 jungle camps. You absolutely want your carry to be the most farmed, but getting a few big items on supports can make teamfights go a LOT better.

This is correct.

Also though, if you feel like you really need the gold from the kills for whatever reason, you have to realize that in most pub games every person on your team is going to be trying for those kills no matter what role they're on because that's just how pubs work - they want the kills for themselves cause it's fun. So you just have to cancel your autoattack animation and fake out your team for the last hits on heroes if you really want them for whatever reason. But, you don't really need the kills that much. Just the assists and creeps.

Correct. That said, it is a bug, so it will probably be fixed at some point when Valve gets around to it.

What are all your favourite champions to play (from a fun standpoint)? I'm looking for a new champ to pick up :D

The hero I like the most is Witch Doctor. Depending on the game you can go from role 5 pure support up to a role 2. All his skills require good positioning and timing. He also has 600 range and good starting animation/damage.

Visage, run around killing 24/7 and then get your ult and start killing lanes even when you're not there.
