You would have to skip levels in invoke though. | ||

I did not see this lane used befor (also not in pro games), is there a reason why? It seems very good to me. (I tested it only once yet, was good.) | ||

(I tested it only once yet, was good.) you can say that about the laning phase of any kotl + carry with a nuker lane, but as icystorage noted, the game's more than just about how strong the laning stage feels. also, you probably haven't seen this combo in particular because most teams would rather have an am (even with his smaller kill potential in lane), pl, luna, or gyro, etc as the safelane farmer in this meta. kotl himself takes a lot of finesse to use properly, and few pro supports seem comfortable enough with kotl strats to pick him consistently (puppey and demon are probably the two biggest kotl players, and demon isn't on 4/5 right now). side note: i personally prefer max mana leak over max illuminate except in games where you can get away with greedy jungle farming On September 28 2015 07:14 makmeatt wrote: What would something like a core kit of skills a carry player should develop consist of? knowing how to find safe farm, knowing when to choose between safe farm and unsafe farm that creates space (when you have an escape), knowing when to join fights or avoid them, knowing when to call for grouping/smoking for objectives, knowing which towers are safe to defend and exactly when and where to tp in to optimally join a fight, knowing where it's good to bait when you have supports behind you out of vision and you trust them (and vice versa, baiting supports), knowing when to give farm to allies for their core items, ability to gauge strength of a lane to collect free kills by calling for supports and avoid wasting support time by telling supports to fuck off/gank other lanes/stack when they're useless, ability to tune item and skillbuild to the game, knowing picks and counterpicks at the pick screen quite a bit of these are more about support play than carry play or apply equally to both, but i'm assuming you're talking about pubdoto, where it's often ideal to tactfully tell your supports what they should be doing anyway and lead the game when you know what everyone should be doing | ||
