I'm an ancient dota 1 player. Since my kids now bigger and able to take care of themselves, I finally got my freedom to play dota. So i downloaded it and played it. Apparently my rusty finger can't compete with young'uns. Is there any place/room/games/server with more....let's say..a colourful and brighter atmosphere for rusty player like me? Thanks! | ||

Should I just stop trying to farm and follow my team around the whole game? I didn't think we had that great building damage. Our NP got desolator at some point but I didn't see him splitpushing at all either. The enemy team also had a pretty good base defence lineup. | ||

one of the hallmarks of a high lv player is fast apm to check other players on their map frequently and quickly q: anyone got a decent video for dendi radiant block , if people still bother to do it? | ||

Quick question: What's the proper way to engage a Terrorblade? If you hit him too much he sunders and kills you instantly. If you don't hit him enough you just die. Is there like a magic trick here I'm not seeing (a certain item etc.) or do you basically just have to get him down to half health and then figure out a way to stun him / prevent him from sundering? Played a 90 minute game that we only won becuse Medusa. But this Terrorblade was raping us for the first 30 minutes at least. As Vengeful Spirit I was just trying to stun him when it looked like he was about to Sunder and swapping out my low health carries right after sunder if he got it off. Is that about right? | ||

I suppose you could play the "limited heroes" mode (or some other name to that effect), in which everyone is limited to play their least played heroes. In that case, everyone is a relative newb. | ||

In that case, everyone is a relative newb. you're thinking of least played. limited heroes is its own mode, aimed at new players where it limits the hero pool to some of the easiest heroes. it's kind of a bugged and broken mode as leavers become invincible bots that the team can control | ||

Total noob question (2.2k) but is this viable: Techies + Rubick? Techies plants mines, Rubick drops people on them. I've done something pretty similar with VS and swap but this seems like you can do it much earlier which is an advantage. | ||

another one is magnus using charge to put people into mines btw rubick can drop people onto cliffs so they are stuck there edit: wtf is scripting? i went 18-3 on lina before we lost and this lich is raging the whole time that i'm scripting and to enjoy my reports. i know you can script invoker if you ...don't want to learn dota....but htf can you script fucking lina? edit2: out of curiosity, how "big" is LoL compared to dota now? are the insane 400,000 viewer chinese streams like yyf and burning (or whoever) botted up or for real? | ||
