I haev seen recently a video of TT (n0tail / puppey) doing Kunkka / mirana combo X-mark-the-spto into arow and it was nicely done

Is Tusk still best as a blink support?

So I think I've heard of this "advanced tip" from somewhere but I'm not sure if it's a thing and if it's true ... and if so, how the concept works.
I'll call it "aggro juggling" since I think that's what I've heard it called. So you are in a 2v1 safelane situation where you, as the support, are trying to aggressively zone out the enemy solo offlaner with some right clicks. Obviously you might encounter the enemy creeps aggroing on you. Isn't there a thing where your carry teammate can deaggro these enemy creeps and essentially juggle them between you the support and your teammate the carry? (mostly referring to the enemy melee creeps that are trying to run and attack you as the support). This would essentially allow you as the support to be really really aggressive with your right click zoning.
How exactly does this work timing-wise (in a step by step method if someone can possibly enlighten me)? Vid would be especially awesome.
This is sort of related to that rosh juggling trick I saw C9 do to force rosh to run back and forth without actually attacking.

What happens is that attack orders on enemy heroes will draw creep aggro, but there is a cd. Once you have drawn aggro, creeps will not aggro you again for two seconds. I've never heard of "aggro juggling" specifically, but I assume this is what's going on. The support draws aggro by harassing from inside the creepwave, and then the carry immediately issues an attack order of his own to take aggro onto himself. The support then gets to harass until the timer is up because the creeps will not reaggro him.
With aggro on the carry, I guess he could then drag the creeps around behind him until they reaggro on the support and vice versa, but it seems easier to just a-click a friendly creep and completely de-aggro them. Constantly running creeps back and forwards between two heroes would push the wave like crazy as well.

Thanks for the explanation. I guess the thing I'm still a bit iffy about is does the support ... when he attacks the enemy solo offlaner and aggros the enemy creeps ... how does the teammate carry take aggro off his support and onto himself if the support is closer to the enemy offlaner?

i have probably common question about tower aggro.....
1) sometimes i am attacking a tower with friendly creeps and even other heroes and suddenly the tower starts shooting me for no apparent reason. why might this be????? (oc i am standing back behind creep while a creep dies)
2) to remove tower aggro i right click a friendly creep or friendly hero (is that all?) but sometimes it doesn't work and tower keeps shooting me....even after i click 3 fucking times. i am definitely behind a friendly creep/hero . do you need to right click friendly then not attack tower immediately afterwards, or something?
another thing from question in above post, i didnt think you could stop creep aggro by right clicking a friendly creep? sure i've tried it before (coz it wud be amazing.....) but they keep chasing me... dota wiki doesnt say you can change creep aggro by rightclicking a creep

Not rightclicking, A-clicking. You have to issue an attack order on a friendly creep or hero. I'm not sure whether having "right click deny" enabled works to shuffle aggro by rightclicking though, I bet it does.

Quick question about blink dagger and disjointing. If you are taking tower hits ... do you need to do any special timing to get the tower hit to disjoint? From my testing, it seems like any time between when the tower launches the projectile and when it is about to hit you ... any time you blink in that window, the tower projectile will disjoint.
So even if the tower JUST launches its projectile at me, if I immediately blink it will disjoint right?
Also am I correct in saying that for enemy heroes using a spell on me ... or enemy ranged heroes right clicking me, there is the same concept? (any time between the launch and the projectile/spell hitting ... you can blink to disjoint)

i use right click deny and it works 90% then sometimes doesnt work and i get hit by tower 2-4 fucking times while i spam rightclick on creep infront of me and nothing happens and try rightclick walk away etc and still getting hit

A projectile needs to be midair to be disjointed.

I'll be honest, since I've never tried to do this I'm just guessing, but I'm pretty sure the creeps will respond to the most recent attack order on the enemy hero, so long as the carry is within 500 units of them. The support might need to be move-commanding between attacks when he does it.
On disjointing, yes, if the projectile is in the air (ie. you can see it), a disjointing spell will cause it to miss. The same principle applies to enemy autoattacks, and most (but not all) spells. It's worth noting that it's not just blinks that disjoint; things like alc's ult will also do so.
There are other spells that behave differently. Spells that grant temporary invulnerability (eg. Ember's SoF where he turns into a fire statue thing) often do not disjoint. However, they can be used to block projectiles if the projectile lands during the invulnerability period.
Just to confuse you, there's even a few spells that look like disjointing blinks but are actually forced movement during invulnerability. Void's timewalk is one; to dodge a projectile with timewalk it has to hit him during the jump.

There are two other problems you might have with your tower de-aggroing technique.
First, if you de-aggro but are still the highest priority target, you will keep getting hit. This might happen if you are the closest enemy to the tower, and your hero starts auto-attacking it once you de-aggro.
Secondly, I've heard there is a cooldown on switching aggro by attacking a friendly unit. So if you de-aggro and reacquire it, there may be a delay before you can de-aggro. I don't have details, though.
|
There's no cooldown that I'm aware of.
Whenever a-click tower deaggro fails for me, it's because I'm the closest unit to the tower or I haven't waited for my hero's turn animation before issuing another command.
|
you dont even notice when pros do it in tourney games, (dont see them move to right click something), is there any techinique or are they just really fucking fast ? do they shift queue a move comment afterwards or just make a move command afterwards really fast? (or not bother at all?)
|
If you stop attacking the tower when it's normally changing it's target, even for a split second, and something else is attacking, you won't get targeted. Useful mostly when you are melee and there's only ranged creeps left.

OH OK so when the friendly creeps start hitting the opponent creeeps then i need to stop attacking tower at the same time momentarily only took me 2 years to figure that out ffs thanks ahswtini

correct me if im wrong.

yeah
but if you are hitting a tower with your creeps and no1 else is around and you're standing behind your creeps
then the enemy creeps walk up
and all the creeps start attacking each other and you're still attacking the tower
then the tower suddenly shoots you
i think
1. Closest enemy unit or hero attacking a friendly hero with auto attack (no enemy heroes around) 2. Closest enemy unit or hero attacking the tower itself with auto attack (our creeps suddenly attack their creeps leaving our hero as only thing attacking the tower)
