Pretty much.

1. Closest enemy unit or hero attacking a friendly hero with auto attack
2. Closest enemy unit or hero attacking the tower itself with auto attack
3. Closest enemy unit or hero attacking any friendly unit with auto attack
4. Closest enemy unit
5. Closest enemy hero
6. Closest enemy catapult

The easiest thing to do is simply stop attacking the tower for a split second after the creep the tower is targeting dies. Once the tower changes its target to a new unit, you are free to resume attacking the tower.

To clarify - when your creeps de-aggro the tower and engage the enemy creeps is not when you have to stop attacking the tower. It's when the tower kills whatever target it was attacking, and you are the only thing hitting the tower that it will aggro you.

It's mimicking War3 DotA, which is half JASS triggers and half idiosyncracies of the War3 Engine. The stuff where it differs is all outlined in the dev forum, but it's really poorly organized.

Basically if you want information on how DotA "works" you're going to read either the Gameplay Bugs subforum on dev.dota2.com or the Advanced Mechanics subforum on playdota.com, but unless you're crazy it's going to be a really long time before you get anything meaningful out of it.

How does dota deal with decimals when it comes to damage?

For example, if Skywrath's Q is supposed to do xxx.6 damage, is it rounded up, down, given a 60% chance to do that extra point of damage, or something else entirely?

IIRC DotA 2 truncates/rounds down, but DotA 1 follows normal rounding rules.

Agi carries in general are very good against silencer because you can always get a bkb and manta at no cost to your fighting capability.

I wouldnt call it counterpicks, but it helps with heroes who either dont rely much on spell usage to be effective or heroes who are gonna build BKB and/or manta regardless of being up against a silencer or not.

I have problem playing viper mid against lane cleaning heroes. They will push lane before 2X min mark and I have to last hit behind towers when they get rune to full bottle and have mana /health to repeat process. That not taking in account other benefit of runes and possibility for them to gunk other lane. Any advice?

Maximize how much pressure you put on them *before* they finish their bottle, build slight lane pressure before they would clear the wave to get rune so they can't just clear it with 1 spell and leave.

That tends to be one of viper's weaknesses. Generally, if you plan to go for a rune, you should push the wave into them so you have time to leave lane before their next wave appears, otherwise you'd lose EXP/gold from not being there to lasthit (effectively what they're doing to you). As a viper your best bet would be to try and take out the enemy range creep on the wave you want to push and auto attack to kill the creeps around the same time the other mid does.

Of course, if you know you won't be in a position to contest the enemy's bottle, it's often better to alert your supports ahead of time (if you're against a DP or Tinker this would be a given) to move towards runes and just stay in lane for the full last-hitting potential while the other mid is away.

my es sat in fountain from the start until he eventually got the afk abandon but stats were still recorded, is it only the disconnect abandon that u get no stats recorded for ?

(first blood happened before he abandoned, but if someone disconnects before first blood it doesnt count doesnt it?)

i use
q and w for the skills
e to tab
r to control "other units"
f1 for me
f3 for all

so i can combo like this

i thought you're supposed bw style f1 f2 f3 f4 f5 but i watched a short notail youtube video and he said he uses tab and "other units" (and f keys)

1-2 so far... 2 disaster games (not my fault... how the fuck do you win against warlock ulti+dp ulti+gyro ulti+tombstone+blink es in 2k pubs? NOTE THE TOMBSTONE LOL. they took every tower in like 20 mins and 50 kills and not even in a team amazingly)

Meepo not favorable against those heros during siegefighting i think. Tombstones 1200 aoe means no blinkdaggerin' for meepo and you dont have magic immunity to cancel the slows of warlock, coptor and undying. Just splitpush and join the fight to clean up the leftovers when you got the objective you aimed for on the other side of the map. If one enemy tp's back you should be able to kill that hero 1v1 most of the time, after that tp back for a favorable 5v4 defence.

Armour+healing items like vlads, mek, crimson gaurd are nice as most of the damage taken will be psychical damage;
Atleast 1 diffusal blade to purge a golem;
Silence against upheaval.
Pugna ward seems potent against warlockcombo >1000 damage.
Killing heros before they teamup delays pushes, best tactic there is in imo and less draft dependant too.
The two NBA teams in states with legal weed are called the Nuggets and the Blazers...

I played against similar drafts where they didnt show willingness to execute teamfighting together and they lost pretty heavily iirc. And I have played against similar drafts a couple of times where they showed the willinggness to group up early and teamfight. If they take the first and second tower while teamed up and not getting some major losses, then the game felt like domino. Thats why i said you need some kills when they are not grouped up to delay the sieges as their heros are pretty weak when they are alone (not taking heropicks into account).

E: if u play AP i think a splitpushing natures prophet (or similar) is best counter. He can also 1v1 alot of hero's and has low cd teleport.

Are the icons above the hero portrait buggy ? It was telling me that poison sting was ticking for 96 damage, not sure how that's possible ? It's the damage per second and not the total damage right ? Since with poison nova, it was telling ticking for 108
