I will know when the match starts. Starting from second major qualifiers when big teams are back things will get interesting this season. Good for us - fans.

Tune in (vs HpM), see them doing really well, all map warded against Meepo, 7k up at 20min. Watch 3min, goes awful immediately. Yup, it's Liquid ! xD

Well no, at least it made for an interesting 60min game ^^

Impressed by the squad, so far. Sure, this isn't the most competitive of Major qualifiers but I think that we (with very few exceptions) have won against everyone handily. The bracket is gonna be a challenge, though. First ppd and then, if we win, the new Alliance. Gonna have to step it up even more!

ppd/NIP was crushed completely! Liquid cruised through them. Alliance had a similar easy path. So we got, what we wanted: Alliance vs. Alliance!

New Alliance vs. Old Alliance is hyyyype
feels like anime

Time to get that Major spot :>

I am not sure about the expected outcome, but in later stages I am sure the new alliance will perform better than the new liquid squad. liquid is ahead in their experience of playing with each other and they have at least a stable captain that isn t new to his role. In terms of playerskill I think the new alliance is above liquid. I still dont rate them as tier 1 teams.. there is a huge difference to OG, ex-liquid.. etc.

I agree that Liquid isn't a top team in EU right now but I strongly disagree with Alliance having a higher skillcap than what we do. I think that for the 1-3 pos we're tied in terms of potential and we outclass Alliance on the 4 & 5 positions.

Pos 5 - cause fata is new and clearly not in a 5th shape i totally agree, maybe 4th is something I can agree too. (In public dota handsken is strong - I am not sure why he is having huge problems in competitive play) Pos 1-3 I have a highly different view. I am playing a lot against all of them in ranked and in terms of individual skill there is not a single position I would rate liquid higher than alliance.
Limmp is clearly a stronger mid - qojva s hero pool is in the given meta "special". Maybe I am a bit too fast in judging about micke and boxi - but the matches i play with or against them are far away from my experience with the alliance dudes. My view is based on the time role-ranked was not available. The last weeks a had only a few games with someone of them with me ingame.. since all group up in teams.
But why you rate their pos 1-3 equal? Maybe I am missing some points.. I dont see their specialitys in this meta and clearly not their mechanics above alliance players. Maybe we can see some of the points I point out in the common game. I still don t say alliance will win, they re not a team yet and I rate insania as the better captain yet. Fata can be the veteran the team needs.

Fata can be the veteran the team needs. The only point where I fully agree is mid. qojqva had a great qualifier for the Major but I see him as maybe the weakest player, in terms of potential. I want to add that that's in a group where everyone has high potential. Micke had several tournaments/qualifiers last season where he popped off while Nikobaby "only" had TI. Then you look at 33. I LOVED watching 33 play during his year under ppd with Optic but last season... he wasn't the same powerhouse. Meanwhile Boxi is getting better and better every day. Yes, we lost to Alliance in the qualifiers, which shows that they were a better team on that day but I'm fairly sure that in the long run this roster will be better.

Lets review my statement after 2-3 more tourneys where alliance and liquid will show up. The last was pretty clear in my eyes and now we have dreamleague and some more coming up.
Guess I am pretty much on the right side, but we ll see - I would like to be surprised, but I don t see a liquid team I can cheer for - sadly. I personally think you have a liquid-viewer-administrator perspective to be honest or you rate player totally different. You will soon see the weakness of their cores compared to other tier 2 teams - even on 4th position. Handsken coming into the game right now is also something that is impressing.
Boxi is a strong player - ye - but simply only in ladder with some few cores. I am just sold on his axe - and that s the end of the list.
Dont get me wrong these guys are strong players, but simply not comparable to alliance this season. For me liquid should have not picked them up if they want to stick to a strong brand. It s my personal opinion, I would have done a lot to get the alliance squad.

It is easy to cheer for a squad that is very successful. For me those who join a winning team and leave it when trouble come around are not true fans, just people who want to be on the winning side.
Being a true fan includes supporting your team even if it might not look as strong as one would wish.

I think this Liquid squad is far stronger than Alliance's squad. The Liquid team is potentially a star team, I feel like Alliance's potential is far lower. We already know what players like FATA, Limmp etc are capable of

Ok so you can say that about a true fan of a team, but then many would say being a true team isn't about pouching a team from another organisation. Just feel that this kind of morale high ground is gonna hit u in the hit you in the neck like a boomerang.
