The 6k stack they were supposed to play got alch'd by 5k noobs, which they proceeded with constantly rotating envy death prophet mid

lol........... this is a hard game for secret, not gonna lie.

edit: alright, pickoffs into objective, into catchup, phew.
envy was about to hit 14k networth at 40minutes on DP. that was terrifying.

imo, the upside to that game is it shows this Secret looks much more stable than the previous one. They took good fights after they fell behind and turned the game around, previous Secret just crumbled

wellllll i tuned in late but it looked like it was on the back of a jungle axe pick.
whether converting axe into a better support would have made the game look better, secret were on the ropes lol and a better team, even a professional team might have sealed the deal there.

secret looked better in most of their bo1 lower bracket games than in that one.

not really, this game was just radiant not knowing how to win. it was 100% comanche throw. first no sentry when pushing hg top, slark instantly pops the disruptor from behind then they lose the fight even if they get a melee rax. following 2 fights same exact story, disruptor and oracle got killed by slark before the fight started cuz they had no detection down. and even after all that, they could have still won if they had a semi competent tide. but i guess that's why nobody knew who they are in the first place.

Felt to me like Secret was maybe a bit overconfident in their ability to fight. The opponent had a rather "fail safe" 5v5 lineup and Secret had to initiate specifically on the supports to stand a chance in 5v5s, initiating on cores was never going to work. But instead Puppey made several very questionable jumps, can't really recall how the vision was etc. and whether he actually thought they could be alone. When they started taking fights in a way where the rest just distract the cores while Arteezy kills the supports it went way different.

But yea due to how they took those earlier fights the game got to a point where they needed the opponent to make mistakes in detection etc. to bring it back.

So is anyone notable on Prodota Gaming? Only player I recognise is Garter, who's not too scary. After that there's Team Toast (whose only semi-notable player is Kefka?) or OSfrog (none of whom I recognise).. So it should be easy for Secret to get to the semi-final. Should. And then they'll probably face Team Spirit, which shouldn't be too hard, and then I'm predicting a final against Kaipi, which is definitely doable.
Did you ever say Yes to a single joy?

Not.rly kabras, after bkbs were up Secret started dominating. Even after.tide reftesh that he blown for no reason :p
also any team is risky until semis - then it's bo3 and the boys should make it

it seems like those guys were ex YeS/Enso players (TI5 open qualifiers winners) on smurf accounts. I mean, not a team that secret should struggle to beat, but not someone who can be underestimated in a BO1 either.

Not stomping a game does not mean that you are losing.Secret managed to survive the first half of the game where the enemy draft was far stronger while taking some farm for their cores and not completely lose control.given the drafts they handled it pretty well.

I can see how they had problems ending the game with the poor ass supports they had. Did you see their net worth lategame? Both radiant supports were at 2k gold. They put sentries down everywhere mid game and it is one of the reason why they had the advantage but they used so many that they had nothing left once lategame kicked in. Timber should of bought sentries for them past 30 minutes but I'm pretty sure he didn't.

I agree that Tide had misplays.

that's how i saw it--they basically saw the 3.5k MMR timber, etc. and were overconfident, but once they realized they weren't going to stomp the game and had a later power peak than comanche, they were able to adjust

im not putting it on the supports but they absolutely needed detection to go hg against the freaking slark. if they were too poor someone else should've gotten it. like that's the most standard and obvious way of playing the hero. go around the back, assassinate someone then have ur team fight hero jump in and initiate. this is also something secret (puppey especially) has been guilty of time and time again since before shanghai. and we still saw it a couple of times yesterday from him. i just don't fucking understand what item in ur 5k networth support inventory is more important than detection when u know ur against invis heroes.
