Alliance were unbeatable for 3 month? Wtf man are you on drugs? This is not 2013 man...they only beat Liquid at the Frankfurt Major qualifier, and at starladder. Thats pretty much it. go check it by urself. http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/World_Cyber_Arena/2015http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Star_Ladder_Star_Series/Season_13http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Captains_Draft_3.0WCA was in 14.12 last time they rekt ur liquid was 14.02.2016, they looked scary till they lost to Vega. i guess u are blind or stupid enough. User was warned for this post at wca liquid beat alliance 2-0 XD you are a funny guy i must say. and captains draft, really? you know how that works right? i dont ecen count that as a real tournament. fact is they only won wca and starladder, and their head to head vs liquid is really bad. but arguing with delusional people like you is a waste of time
i never saw a guy boring like u , u obviously dislike Alliance, but u come here instantly and try to repeat how 'bad' [A] is, i dont even know what u doing here??? trade insulting??? say sth stupid to show ur wise?

I'm not saying it's not important. Of course it's very bloody important! The point is (God I can't believe I need to repeat myself here): The decision has been made! Gosh, is my English actually that poor or is there some reading comprehension thing going on here?

No your english is fine. It's just that you're acting like all they do is whining behind the keyboard. But in fact, all akke did was posting a blog, and Loda made a tweet. That's it. They had prob been back home only for a few hours.

Dude you are a cool poster and your english is better then mine , but if you read your post again it really sounds dissmisve , they didn't went all crazy about it , just wanted to vent bit and let Valve know that they are hurting teams/players with their non transparent behaviour , no one argued , no one asked to revert the invites and they will practice and hopefully qualify , cheers! And my english reading comprehension is usually pretty good hhhh , just my typing is somewhat all over the place , you can ask Sno_Man i got like 3 warnings about those already.

@bluzi and @lookfirewood Great lads, we're on the same team. I do however think this theme of entitlement has been going on for a long time with both Loda and Akke. They give me the impression that they consider themselves a tier 1 team - or at least to have earned respect and invites despite not having shown any real results for a long time.
Throughout this season I've hoped for them to not receive direct invites, just so they would have to actually roll up their sleeves, grind and find that hunger again.
This latest series of tweets was just the nail in the coffin for me. Plain and simple: If they're as good as they think they are, getting through qualifiers should be the least of the worries. With that said: I'm hoping to see them buckle up, practise hard and come back better. As do we all.
Ps. In regards to possible dismissive attitude or whatnot, I do apologize for whatever it's worth. I do however not believe forum threads like this should be "let's all hold hands for our boys in grey" in the manner of another known poster here

GnT I am nothing but criticising them lately so I am not Zealing around (Zeal you are the man and cheerleader so don't take is the wrong way). Hoping to see them go through to TI but it won't come as a shock to me to see them get Alched out of the qualifiers which is sad , its not a TI without them , also i have some work at the US around that time (not final but good chance) and i was hoping to watch it live this year so i am bit egoistic in that regard

Well, I do for all our sakes hope they find that focus and hunger again, pull through the qualifiers and surge into TI6 as a real contender - however unlikely it may seem at the moment! Hope you get a chance to see TI live!

There is some room for consternation over the Invites for Alliance. They were the quintessential "bubble team" for invites. In most 8 or 10-invite scenarios, they were going to get a Direct Invite. They had done enough over the course of the year to be a "top 10 team on the year".
The issue comes down wholly to EG & Secret going to open qualifiers. What it was going to produce was an odd number in Invites, and Valve has worked really hard not to play favorites with regions. (Which would be a really bad precedent to set for them.) Alliance, Complexity & Fnatic all lost out on Invites for that reason.
At the same time, all 3 of those teams had the ability to get through to the playoff bracket at ESL One Frankfurt. Na'Vi got the slot that Valve reserved for the Winner/Finalist from the Tournament, but Na'Vi was already a likely invite candidate in a 10-invite scenario. (See here. The predictions were heading into ESL One Frankfurt, but Valve released the invites before I could produce updated predictions.) Realistically, Alliance is 1 game win over Vega (ESL One Frankfurt), Na'Vi (Manila Major) or Newbee (Epicenter) from having locked up that Invite.
Still, Valve has made their decision and 2 of the 10 EU qualifier teams will go through, with a 3rd going to the wildcard round. They're more than capable of qualifying, but they've really needed to clean up their in-game rotations and team-fight coordination for a while now.

Exactly, be their fan or not, you want to once again feel them having the chops to beat anyone, pull out a new strat when it matters the most and make the games against top teams exciting again with the balls to not sticking to what worked years ago and is their comfort zone.
The two wins on a patch that happened to favour their comfort style hurt them more than helped them, you can see that from their tweets and Akke's blog

i'd like to hear, "alliance is scary" again, when that was what teams were thinking in and around WCA. unfortunately it was on the back of buffed bulldog heroes, NP and LD. slardar, phoenix, riki, lifestealer, and even ET would put a halter to that, even if it hadn't naturally fallen out of favor. it also brought on drow strategies indirectly and eventually alchemist and aghanims strategies like with veno. they have that re-popularization under their belt but have yet to do anything refreshing again. i have a hard time remembering where exactly they started losing again, it just feels like it's been forever again even if they take a game in most bo3 losses.
time to play some new heroes, and to play them well as a team.

Yeah I never argued about the invites, only about having some understanding in their salt and frustration. Like bluzi said earlier.

Either way, games not that far away. Time to buckle up and work overtime so I can work from home during qualifiers if needs be.

Spend it all on friday boys!

Wow, that's amazing. WCA actually paid. And only after 6 months. Really surprising.

Are Alliance playing against Navi tonight? The Gosugamers website says there is a match in 3hrs... Some or other "el-classico showmatch"
This is the first I'm hearing of it
