Expectations are low, but the pressure is high. I feel that a bad performance at Manilla will cost them a TI invite and who knows what will happen in the EU qualifiers.

I don't know why western teams such as Alliance only have tournament specific coaches. Unless they come up with a training regime until the next major period when the new coach comes in to point out things that needs shaping up?

You know the team isn't doing well when you aren't even surprised when the team loses. Like I get excited when they begin to do well and win a series, let alone a game, but am not startled when they lose. It's a shame.

Not many are like 1437 who wants to be a full time coach. Blitz has his caster duties some times, mad, synd etc only went coaching when they failed to qualify as a player for this season. Plus all that matters is TI and majors anyway, so the scene revolves everything around those dates.

I think liquid and A will get out of the group. It'll be rough as hell but I think they will make it. Is bottom two down to LB or out?

Dont know. i really hope they do well but i also think that epicenter was an important tournament.maybe they are saving strats or maybe they indeed improved during the last couple of weeks.who knows?
the team i root for anyway in this tournament is liquid

Another thing i wanted to adress is [A] performance in the qualifires.They did pretty bad but what surprised me was their strats.I think that they really were just trying to find some sort of last minute pocket strat and their performance is going to be better in the major

Strangely enough I'd agree with that.
It's not about how well they place but how likely the freak accident of them winning the whole thing and Bulba, as much as I love the guy and want him to succeed; his teams just get shafted resultwise no matter what.
And then there's Arteezy. Go figure.
So yeah, I'd say alliance will most likely perform (slightly?) worse than EG and Secret. Especially after seeing them at the Summit5 quals. But their chances to somehow win the whole thing are better imo

Well it wasn't only odd strats, it was bad play and stubbornness a well. If they fix that they can go far, as they have before.
